  1. wow ! what a workout….had my heart rate up higher than when I power walk
    a most excellent broadcast!

  2. Just a bit of a little more good news. My husband just came in and told me he passed the Walmart Challenge. Yay!! However, his was a bit more trying than my own.

    “May I see your receipt?”

“No, I don’t have to show it.”

    “Yes you do.”

    “No I don’t.”

Then he walked forward and left, and that was it. He didn’t look back.

This is giving “Just Say No” a whole new meaning.

    🙂

      1. Thanks, Katie. I’m predicting that soon we may see a mainstream headline something like this:

“More And More Walmart Customers Refusing To Show Cash-Register Receipt Or Submit To A Search Of Their Items.”

And in a few months following that… “Walmart Heavily Fined For Infringing On 4th Article Rights Of Their Patrons.”

Ha! We are making a difference. Now, if only we can stop the war. Sigh…

    1. Yay to husband!

I went to Walmart a few days ago. The cheka (what I am calling the receipt checker from now on) was looking right at me as i approached. I made brief eye contact with her as I kept moving toward the exit. As I passed her she said “have a nice day mam” I did not respond and left the store.

A friend from town who rode along with me was behind me. He told me when the cheka asked for his receipt he told her “you don’t need to see my receipt, I paid for all this stuff” she then went on about the problem the store was having with theft blah blah blah. He stood his ground and said ‘no’.
This friend used to say to me ‘they’re only doing their job’. Friend got an education after he said that…lol

CHEKA: The All-Russian Extraordinary Commission, abbreviated as VChK and commonly known as Cheka, was the first of a succession of Soviet secret-police organizations.

secret police (as in a Communist-dominated country) having virtually unrestrained power over life and death (merriam-webster)

      1. Ha!! Cheka this out:

Big thank you, Mary. I’ll never look at them again without thinking of your words.

        🙂
