World’s last Stone Age tribe: What life is REALLY like on the island cut off from everyone for 30,000 years

Daily Mail

Poison arrows, knives, spears, clubs, axes, rocks — all of them have been waved very angrily.

Over the years, the message from the natives of the tiny island of North Sentinel in the Bay of Bengal could not have been clearer.

‘Keep away. Go home. Buzz off. Visitors not welcome. We want to be alone.’

Of course they do. The Sentinelese are one of a very few remaining ‘uncontacted peoples’ in the world and they are determined to keep it that way. Which means we know tantalisingly little about their language, their culture, their belief system or even how many of them there are.

But what we do know is that they have lived happily and largely healthily on their tiny, lush, mangrove-swamped 20-square-mile island for at least 30,000 years.

  1. I can only imagine the inbreeding going on between these people. Hopefully they won’t become the next elitist group trying to rule other people.

    Leave them alone.

  2. Luckiest group of people on the planet! They eat like kings, clean food and water, they aren’t governed by scum bags, what more could you ask for?

Believe me, what we have is no Fkg picnic, these people live life large, lucky SOBs 🙂

  3. Hopefully there are more hunter gatherers like this, somewhere, likely some island. Maybe there are even African Bushmen who are still being left alone, with or without clicks.

If God wants these folks to believe in Christ, God will find a way…or at least send someone who speaks their language! I can’t believe that dude actually tried to “convert” these folks not knowing a lick of their language! That’s what years or centuries of thinking you will “speak in tongues” “just because” will do for you. If the guy truly thought God would let him “speak in tongues” these folks’ language, maybe he should have call out to them while they were shooting arrows at him…I think these folks likely would have stopped shooting if they heard him “speak” in their “tongue” about Christ.

  4. What didn’t make sense to me is the vid showing them in shorts and belts. I mean it looked like that to me, like manufactured items. But maybe my eyes are deceiving me? But if true, they are not as isolated as is posited. Makes me wonder what we don’t know about this “remote” island.
