BESSEMER, Ala. — Bessemer police arrested a man after what was nearly a four-hour standoff at the man’s apartment complex.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance in progress call at the apartment complex, according to AL.com, when the suspect shot an arrow toward officers from his balcony.
An officer returned fire, prompting the suspect to retreat back into his apartment.
Several attempts to communicate with the man were unsuccessful. After evacuating other residents from the building, the department’s special response team entered the unit and arrested the suspect without further incident.
According to the report, Deputy Chief Mike Roper said they expect to charge the man with attempted murder.

Checked the source. It was a BOW & arrow. Had he used a crossbow, he might nailed the pig.
Not that it’s advisable in any way to go up against guns with either one.
It’s too bad he didn’t have a machine gun.
Foolish man though his life away. Pity.
On the other hand when things finally do go hot and we have to take our country back well I wouldn’t count out archery as one of the many tools in the old took kit. They have a place.
Road block and sentry removal. Dam right. Why not bows? Why not?
Unless you’re ANYWHERE near as good as he is, better make it a compound bow at the VERY least.
If he had used an atlatl, it would have been a 5hour stand off.
