There is a place in Minnesota that has the feel of small town America, but if you want to get to the Northwest Angle, travelers have to leave the U.S. and go through Canada to get there. Lee Cowan explains a geographical quirk along the northern border.
Ha! Can’t watch the video from Canada…Point Roberts in BC is the same.
I will check that out. Thanks
I have made this journey through Canada to the NW Angle, launched the boat into the Angle Inlet and took it to Sunset lodge Resort for a week of fishing. US Canada border is a line of buoys in the middle of the lake, had to get wilderness border passes from Canadian government in January for our trip in June. Unbelievably beautiful, Lake of the Woods is awesome!
Thanks for sharing Bill. I never knew of this American town. It is the reason I sent in to post. I was hoping to hear from some of the Trenchers who know of this place.
Beautiful country, way remote for my likes though.
easier to keep the riff raff out ..maybe including the government riff raff
