The federal government shipped nearly 4,000 more assault rifles to local law enforcement agencies in the three months following the Ferguson riots, marking a huge surge in the amount of lethal firearms being doled out to police and sheriff’s offices.
The Ferguson riots drew attention and criticism to the massive firepower state and local police are now able to bring to bear on their citizens, and earned scrutiny for the Pentagon project, known as the 1033 program, that helps arm many of those agencies by making surplus military equipment available to them.
President Obama called for a review of the program, civil rights advocates said the local police had become indistinguishable from the military, and even some police departments questioned their own policies.

GUYS,let’s hope they ship more. Your weapons are superior to everything the “enforcers” are getting from Guber-mint. The ONLY real use they would have in OUR militia units would be to use them as Squad Automatic weapons in a short replacement for the SAW in .223 or the Mag-58 belt fed weapons. Otherwise YOU own better weapons than they have already. Eventually we would be upgrading SAW gunners to large bore belt fed weapons and then spread out the full auto “trophy” guns that you harvest from the police state. Same with what the foreign troops are carrying. Look at them all as predeployed mobile resupply pods. They will outfit the late comers. Build the AR-15 that you will use to YOUR personal specs and you will have in hand a superior AR to anything the punks on the other side carry. It is the MAN behind the gun, not the gun that makes the difference so stop worrying about what they get and focus on building MORE!!!! Liberty1775 Happy 2015 Year of Battle.

The Posse Comitatus Act prevents them from deploying the military against us within our borders so they are turning the police into a military that they CAN use against us within our borders. It’s a simple thing.
