The US military finished 2018 with a troubling, sad statistic — it experienced the highest number of suicides among active-duty personnel in at least six years.

In a major escalation, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Tuesday handed Venezuela opposition leader Juan Guaido government bank accounts held in America.

The assets include official accounts at US insured banks as well as funds held by Caracas at the US federal reserve.

A member of an Antifa-related organization was killed after he pulled a weapon on Eugene, Oregon police at a middle school.

“An armed man involved in a custody dispute was shot to death by Eugene police during a struggle just outside Cascade Middle School Friday morning,” said KOIN. “Authorities said they were called to the school shortly before 10:30 a.m. to escort the man from the school. As far as billionaires go, Schultz and Trump could hardly be more different. The former Starbucks CEO grew up in subsidized housing in Brooklyn. He started working at Starbucks in 1982, back when it was just a modest Seattle business.
