The 21st Century Cures Act is going through the U.S. Congress right now, and it will likely pass into law unless some opposition materializes (it passed through the House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee with a vote of 51 to 0). The Act is a give-away to the pharmaceutical industry, removing many of the safety mechanisms in place that are supposed to keep the public protected from unsafe drugs and medical devices. I had a dream the other night, I didn’t understand.
A figure walking through the mist, with flintlock in his hand.
His clothes were torn and dirty, as he stood there by my bed
He took off his three-cornered, and speaking low he said:
“We fought a revolution to secure our liberty.
We wrote the Constitution, as a shield from tyranny.
For future generations, this legacy we gave,
In this the land of the free, and the home of the brave.” Continue reading “A Visitor From The Past”

In late June, amid the Confederate Flag controversy, Marion County Florida board chairman Stan McClain decided to bow down to the “political correctness” police and ordered the removal of the Confederate flag from the council building.
After local citizens expressed outrage over the removal of what they called a “mark of their heritage,” on Tuesday the Marion County’s board of commissioners UNANIMOUSLY overruled the decision and the banner has been raised again. In a move that’s prompting questions about the stockpiling of weapons by the federal government’s nonmilitary agencies, the Bureau of Reclamation wants to buy 52,000 rounds of ammunition for use in law enforcement at Hoover Dam and Lake Mead.
After learning about the purchase request, Nevada Rep. Mark Amodei vowed to inquire with the bureau about its operations, number of officers carrying firearms and how much ammunition it uses, according Brian Baluta, a spokesman for Amodei. The United States of America is a great country. You can debate absolutely anything, whether or not it has merit, and whether or not it’s any of your business.
But guns? There’s nothing to debate. Throw out all the numbers and expert opinions. I’ve got your expert right here, and it’s called EXPERIENCE. Continue reading “‘Nothing to debate’: Second Amendment, legal gun in my purse saved our lives”

In one of the most egregious anti-Christian acts committed by a state official in recent memory, Oregon Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian not only upheld the ridiculous $135,000 fine levied against Aaron and Melissa Klein for declining to bake a cake for a lesbian commitment ceremony, but he ordered the Kleins to “cease and desist” from making any public comments about their religious convictions relative to this case.
This is an outrage and a travesty, and it must be rebuked and resisted. Who does Mr. Avakian think he is? Continue reading “Oregon declares war on Christian faith”
One of America’s most popular sheriffs has issued a “wake-up call” for conservatives following the Supreme Court’s two landmark decisions on same-sex marriage and Obamacare.
The way Sheriff David Clarke sees it, the wild horse has broken loose and is halfway out of the barn, threatening to trample the crops.
If the court can redefine marriage and force people to buy health care from a private business, there is nothing it can’t do, said Clarke, the sheriff of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, and frequent Fox News contributor. Continue reading “Top sheriff: America now ruled by ‘oligarchy’”

Using the same tactics used by “gay” rights activists, pedophiles have begun to seek similar status arguing their desire for children is a sexual orientation no different than heterosexual or homosexuals.
Critics of the homosexual lifestyle have long claimed that once it became acceptable to identify homosexuality as simply an “alternative lifestyle” or sexual orientation, logically nothing would be off limits. “Gay” advocates have taken offense at such a position insisting this would never happen. However, psychiatrists are now beginning to advocate redefining pedophilia in the same way homosexuality was redefined several years ago. Continue reading “Pedophiles want same rights as homosexuals”

One of the consistent themes when military members read and comment on articles focused on the very controversial and unprecedented Jade Helm 15 exercises slated to take place between July and September in multiples states, with some listed as “hostile,” where training is listed as “unconventional warfare,” is the common refrain “come on, do you really think we would ever fire on Americans!!!”
This is said with quite a bit of understandable outrage, after all, our men and women in the armed forces join to protect Americans and their oath is to defend our constitutional from enemies foreign and domestic.
