There have already been more than 500 complaints about price gouging during Hurricane Harvey over the weekend, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton told CNBC on Monday.

That includes reports of up to $99 for a case of water, hotels that are tripling or quadrupling their prices and fuel going for $4 to $10 a gallon, he said in an interview with “Closing Bell.”

“These are things you can’t do in Texas,” Paxton said. “There are significant penalties if you price gouge in a crisis like this.”   Continue reading “Price gouging during Hurricane Harvey: Up to $99 for a case of water, Texas AG says”

When they checked rates online as Hurricane Harvey was strengthening and about to make landfall in Texas, a room with two queen beds was between $120 and $149 a night.

But when a KXAN TV crew from Austin showed up on Saturday to get a room at that same hotel—a Robstown, Texas Best Western Plus, 20 miles from Corpus Christi—the clerk at the front desk quoted a price nearly triple what the crew had seen online: a staggering $321.89 a night, according to KXAN.   Continue reading “Thousands were fleeing Harvey. A startling image purportedly showing one of Houston’s two major airports underwater in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, complete with Delta jetliners floating on a flooded tarmac, has been making the rounds on social media.

But all is not as it seems.

As Houston and other parts of Texas continued dealing with devastating flooding Monday, it emerged that the dramatic image of the inundated airport was a mock-up depicting New York City’s LaGuardia Airport.   Continue reading “Jaw-dropping photo of planes floating on flooded tarmac at Houston airport during Hurricane Harvey is revealed as a HOAX”

When you have greed on a scale of the ridiculous, you do things like steer a hurricane into an area that deals with oil, big oil. There is no bigger state than Texas when it comes to big oil. Texas has refineries that feed a huge percentage of America, thus feeding the Godzilla trough of huge cash.

I don’t give a damn what people think happened here, HAARP technology steered Harvey for nothing more than greed for the mammon that is going to affect us all, big time, probably for many years to come. As we have been hearing on Henry’s show now for months, there is a huge glut of oil, this oil is now a sea of black gold thanks to Harvey’s destruction.   Continue reading “Harvey – Steered into Texas Coast by Microwave Burst? -HAARP”

Joe Arpaio put on a good show during his tenure, made sure the country knew where he stood with illegal immigration. Tents, pink underwear, lousy food, lousy TV, and tough talk, while profiling the wet backs. The profiling thing got him into trouble, why? Because he was ordered not to, he did it anyway.

Arpio was an easy pardon for Trump, he knew he would score points and at the same time not take too much heat. A classic example of the “three card monte”, diverting attention away from the much more troublesome pardons, the Bundys and the Hammonds, currently rotting in prison for doing nothing more than grazing cattle on  illegally government seized land.    Continue reading “Trump Gives Arpaio the Thumbs Up – Lets the Bundys and Hammonds Rot”

I grew up around boats; I’ve had about 5 or 6 of them. I know what the deal is around heavy boating lanes and for the most part, understand right of way rules in shipping lanes. My dad and I regularly navigated in them while fishing marlin, albacore, swordfish you name it. It took us out into big deep water, hundreds of miles offshore.

When you have these big cruisers crashing into huge freighters on a regular basis, there is something seriously wrong with either the competency of the commanders of these ships, or something entirely different is going on here. My first question is why is it only the Americans who are involved in these huge collisions between merchant vessels and our warships?   Continue reading “Unqualified Commanders? Oregon has long been predicted to be a scene of major eclipse traffic jams, and even by Sunday, that was proving to be true: The Oregon National Guard was called in to Madras, a small agricultural city in the sunny part of the state, east of the Cascades.

Traffic was at a standstill for hours Sunday afternoon, gridlocked as well more than 100,000 people flocked to this small, pleasant town of 7,000.

Madras, pronounced like glad or sad — not like the plaid fabric or the megalopolis in India — sits on the centerline of the eclipse’s path of totality.   Continue reading “Solar eclipse gridlock: It was so busy in Madras, Ore., they called in the National Guard”

SHANGHAI (Reuters) – A recent crackdown by China on overseas investments has been assumed to be mainly focused on high-profile acquisitions of things like hotels and football teams around the world.

However, Chinese regulators also appear to have their eyes on two other lower-profile industries: gambling and sex.   Continue reading “No gambling, sex please: China widens crackdown on overseas deals”

The other day CNN put on a circus act that has redefined the Barnum and Bailey circus arena by putting on a no talent, well paid agitator named Angela Rye, a clown in the CNN circus lineup. This clown was hired by the CNN circus crew because of her “principle” position over at Impact Strategies, a firm that specializes in making fools out of everyday Americans.

After viewing the video, I was floored on how the circus atmosphere permeated the entire piece, it was a classic misinformation propaganda Vegas stage act.

President Donald Trump should not impose a tax increase on the wealthiest Americans, media mogul and two-time GOP presidential candidate Steve Forbes told CNBC on Monday.

Axios reported last month that top White House advisor Steve Bannonis pushing for a tax increase “on the wealthiest Americans to pay for steep middle and working-class tax cuts.”

“That kind of populism Ronald Reagan would have choked on,” the Forbes Media chairman and CEO said on “Squawk Box.” “What people want is a vibrant economy. They don’t care if Bill Gates gets richer. They want to know: ‘Is my paycheck going up? Are my prospects improving?'”
