Moment bungling tree surgeons saw through giant trunk seconds before it wrecks a HOUSE is filmed by bemused neighbour

Two tree surgeons could very well be out of a job after accidentally felling a tree onto somebody’s house.

Hilarious footage shows the two men hacking and hammering at the tree in a suburban garden.

The professionals continue carefully working the tree until the point of collapse.

But instead of falling into a clearing, the huge tree collapses down through the roof of a nearby house.

The man filming the dramatic footage comments: ‘Oops. Oh, man.

‘Wow. Look at that house — what an accident.’

The tree appears to have caused significant damaging to the roof and attic.

The man continues: ‘Well, I guess that’s what we intended to do. This house is going to be demolished.

  1. My neighbor had concerns about an alder in my yard damaging his arbor, should my tree somehow fall onto his property.
My professional logger/brother-in-law came over to give his opinion. Leaning but otherwise healthy, he said it could outlast my neighbor. But, we decided the neighbor’s crotchety-ness overruled nature so he grabbed his saw.
After tying a rope part way up the tree, slinging it around another tree and over to me, he starts to cut. Just breaking the bark, he says, “My truck will fit back here, right?” After my “yes” he takes the rope and ties it off to a third tree and we start toward the house. 10 paces later, “BANG!!” goes that alder, snaps that rope like nothing, splits up about 20 feet and hinges over, right on top of the neighbor’s arbor.
Lucky for me, he wasn’t home, so we cleaned the mess in a hurry. No damage to the arbor, because the tree still had plenty of dead leaves to cushion the fall. That was a fun day-after-Thanksgiving!
