Pierre, SD — In all the years the Free Thought Project has been reporting on police misconduct and government corruption, we’ve seen some vile, horrific, and nightmarish acts committed by those sworn to protect. However, a recent case getting exposed by the ACLU of South Dakota may be one of the most insanely cruel and horrifying acts committed by police in the name of the drug war — and they’re doing it to children too.   Continue reading “Hooded, Handcuffed, ‘Violated’: Cops Force Catheterize 3yo Boy, Man for Drug Urinalysis”

Lost amid the uproar over the Trump administration’s crackdown on undocumented immigrants is a change coming to the legal immigration system that’s expected to be costly for both U.S. companies and the government itself.

Each year at about this time, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services receives a tidal wave of applications for H-1B visas, the ones for college-educated workers. For-profit companies usually have a five-day window in April to send in applications for new visas just as existing visa holders begin renewing theirs.   Continue reading “Immigration Agency Will Lose Millions Because It Can’t Process Visas Fast Enough”

Earlier this week, it was alleged the Syrian Army had once again gassed its own people. Mainstream media outlets everywhere ran the story without so much a question as to whether or not the allegations were founded.

Even President Trump weighed in on the attacks. “My attitude towards Syria and Assad has changed very much,” President Trump declared at a recent press conference (Courtesy Fox And Friends). Going further, he said in a statement, “Today’s chemical attack in Syria against innocent people, including women and children, is reprehensible and cannot be ignored by the civilized world.” But many in the alternative media, including The Free Thought Project, find the story eerily similar to an alleged gas attack from four years ago. President Obama declared his “red line” was if the villainous Bashar Al Assad regime would use gas on his own people, the United States would take military action against the Syrian government.   Continue reading “False Flag Flashback: The White Helmets Admitted to Staging a Terror Video in 2016”

An Arkansas State Senator attempted a grandstanding moment as the state pursued a new gun law.  She claimed that God “does not tell me that I have a fundamental right to carry a gun.”

State Sen. Stephanie Flowers said, “Where I’m from, the God I serve does not tell me that I have a fundamental right to carry a gun” as Senate Bill 724 exempts college sports stadiums, teaching hospitals, and day cares from having to allow guns inside their facilities.   Continue reading “Arkansas State Senator: “God Doesn’t Give Fundamental Right to Carry a Gun””

In a diplomatic missive endorsing the two-state solution, Moscow has said that it is ready to recognize West Jerusalem as Israel’s official capital, providing that statehood is granted to Palestinians, who will base their capital in the eastern part of the city.

“The stalling of the Middle East peace process has created conditions for unilateral moves that undermine the potential for an internationally accepted solution to the Palestinian problem, under which two states – Israel and Palestine – could live in peace and security with each other and with their neighbors,” said the Russian Foreign Ministry in an English-language statement on its website.   Continue reading “Russia will recognize W Jerusalem as Israel’s capital only if E Jerusalem becomes Palestine’s – FM”

North Miami, FL – The police shooting of Charles Kinsey on July 18, 2016, outraged the nation, as video footage captured Kinsey lying on his back with hands in the air, begging the cops not to shoot – but a cop shot him anyway.

In an unexpected statement made by the former COO of Goldman Sachs and current director of Trump’s National Economic Council, Gary Cohn told a private meeting with lawmakers on the Senate Banking Committee on Wednesday evening that he could support legislation breaking up the largest U.S. banks – a development that could provide support to congressional efforts to reinstate the Depression-era Glass-Steagall law – and impact if not so much his former employer, Goldman Sachs, whose depository business is relatively modest, then certainly the balance sheets of some of Goldman’s biggest competitors including JPM and BofA.   Continue reading “Gary Cohn Backs Reinstating Glass-Steagal, Breaking Up Big Banks”

Despite New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s proclamation that NYC is a ‘sanctuary city,’ the New York Police Department (NYPD has told federal immigration officials about immigrants facing deportation who are due to appear in criminal court.  Now apparently the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is telling the nation they don’t recognize de Blasio’s authority to create a sanctuary for criminal aliens. And on Tuesday they gave Mayor de Blasio a demonstration of their resolve.   Continue reading “Immigration Cops to Mayor de Blasio: New York Is No Sanctuary from ICE Raids”

Oklahoma, OK — Ordering a deceased man to get his hands up is just about as futile as convincing some law enforcement officers it is not justified to shoot unarmed civilians. But that’s precisely what the Oklahoma Law Enforcement officers commanded 38-year-old George Lee Seeton to do, immediately after they fatally shot the fleeing suspect on March 4th. Now, with the release this week of the patrolman’s body camera footage, the public can know precisely just how he died.   Continue reading “Bodycam Footage Shows Police Kill Unarmed Man for Driving in Reverse”

Contractors are concerned for their safety and the safety of their workers in light of planned and threatened protests and violence by anti-Trumpers.  Now, they are seeking to carry their firearms with them on the work site.

Before we go further, the Second Amendment applies to contractors too, you know.  They should not be “asking” permission to keep and bear arms.  It is their right, their duty even, to do so.   Continue reading “Border Wall Contractors Want to Carry Guns on Site”

The German government has approved a new bill on combating hate speech and fake news, under which social networks could face hefty fines if they fail to remove offensive content promptly. Critics denounced the bill as a violation of free speech.

The bill, introduced by German Justice Minister Heiko Maas, is aimed at forcing social network giants such as Facebook or Twitter to take more responsibility for the content posted by users and to make it compliant with German law.   Continue reading “‘State-imposed thought police’: German politicians, activists slam bill on hate speech & fake news”

It was a one-two knockout punch for anyone still holding out hope that Trump’s domestic economic policies will take place in the near, or not even so near, future.

First, Rep. Patrick McHenry, a member of House Republican leadership, said on Wednesday afternoon that conservatives’ proposals to reach a compromise on healthcare are a “bridge too far” to win support from colleagues.  McHenry, the chief deputy whip, told reporters that calls from the conservative House Freedom Caucus to allow states to apply for waivers to repeal ObamaCare protections for people with pre-existing conditions are a “bridge too far for our members” and can’t get enough votes to pass.   Continue reading “Suddenly, Both Obamacare Repeal And Trump Tax Reform Are Dead”

Portland, OR — Portland Police Officer Matt Bigoni is under internal investigation today, following death threats, threats to kill an animal, and physical abuse/destruction of property allegations from the man he was attempting to apprehend. Christopher Lee Fish, 27, was holed up in his motor home when officers arrived. Fish grabbed his cell phone camera and began recording. What he captured on his video camera was enough to open a possible criminal investigation.

Deming, NM — A video uploaded to Facebook this week shows what it looks like to attempt to pay a fine with quarters — in a police state.

The video, uploaded by the teen’s father, Kevin Weaver, shows police swarm the young man after his form of payment for a fine was not accepted because it was in quarters. Whether or not the teen was attempting to make a point by using quarters, or that was all he had, is unknown. However, it is entirely safe to assume that since he was a teenager, the quarters were all he had.   Continue reading “Video Shows Teen Brutally Assaulted by Cops After Trying to Pay Fine in Quarters”

When you hear words like “militia” and “prepper” and “survival retreat,” you probably imagine a rural, conservative, blue collar fellow who loathes the government. What you probably don’t imagine, are the kinds of people who run for state office. In South Carolina however, two state representatives are planning to create survivalist communities in anticipation of a possible collapse of the United States. According to AP:   Continue reading “These Two South Carolina Lawmakers Are Planning to Create Survivalist Communities Across the Country”

The Trump administration’s decision to review federal agreements with troubled police departments nationwide could imperil ongoing reform efforts, particularly in Baltimore and Chicago, civil rights advocates said on Tuesday, even as city officials vowed to continue pursuing improvements.

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ memorandum ordering the review endangers one of the key legacies of former President Barack Obama, whose Department of Justice reached more than a dozen agreements with police departments over constitutional abuses.   Continue reading “Activists fear federal review of U.S. police agreements could imperil reforms”
