Two major U.S. rules aimed at curbing corruption and pollution in the energy sector may be entirely wiped from the books by next week, after the Republican-led House of Representatives on Wednesday voted to repeal them.

The Senate is expected to take up repealing the rules, both of which were years in the making, as soon as Thursday.   Continue reading “U.S. House axes rules to prevent corruption, pollution”

Robots are no longer the stuff science fiction is made of. Many types of robotic machines are used every day. As technology becomes more sophisticated, so do the robots (1)

San Diego State University led by management information systems professor Aaron Elkins has developed a robot dubbed AVATAR (Automated Virtual Agent for Truth Assessments in Real Time). Elkins explains that AVATAR can detect the slightest change in a person’s physical behavior that reveals they are lying or otherwise being deceptive (2).

This is what I predicted in recent articles. Unless some miracle turnaround occurs, Trump’s pick for Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue, will be a catastrophe. Lights out. Bang.

Big Ag vs. the small American farmer? No contest.

Lawrence, KS — In an infuriating case of blue privilege, a cop, with mountains of evidence against him committing unspeakable crimes, will get to remain a cop — in spite of being arrested. To add insult to injury, this abusive cop is now suing the city for the unlawful search and seizure which was allegedly used to collect all the evidence against him.

The Lawrence Police Department, in February of 2015, gathered enough evidence against Officer William Jacob Burke, 34, to arrest him on felony charges of aggravated battery, criminal threat, aggravated assault, domestic battery, and kidnapping.   Continue reading “Cop Charged with Beating Fellow Officer, Locking Her in Dog Kennel — Not Fired”

Being a Chief Investment Officer at Soros Fund Management, the $25 billion family office run by billionaire George Soros who reportedly lost $1 billion following the Trump election as a result of bearish market bets, is not easy: recall that last August, Ted Burdick, the former CIO of the fund stepped down after just 8 months in the position but remained at the firm. The transition took place at a time when Soros was said to have returned to an active fund management role, putting in place “big, bearish bets.”   Continue reading “George Soros Hires A New Chief Investment Officer”

AUGUSTA — A proposal to allow Maine’s forest rangers to carry guns resurfaced Tuesday in the State House, once again drawing support from law enforcement groups and opposition from large landowners and the LePage administration.

This is the fourth year in a row that lawmakers have considered proposals to arm or better protect Maine Forest Service rangers who patrol the state’s vast timberlands. Past proposals have fallen victim to cost concerns and political wrangling. The latest bill aims to reduce the costs to taxpayers by allowing forest rangers to carry their own personal guns – rather than state-issued sidearms – as long as they’ve received proper firearms training.  Continue reading “Lawmakers again consider bill to arm Maine forest rangers”

Amid heightening tensions with China and in the wake of accusations Russia somehow interfered in the election, U.S. Congress has instructed intelligence agencies and the Pentagon’s Strategic Command to assess the ‘survivability’ of Chinese and Russian leaders in the event of an above- or below-ground nuclear strike.

Under ordinary circumstances, such a review could be considered routine, but — given President Donald Trump’s ratcheting up of hostilities with China and the Democratic establishment’s scapegoating of Russia for its own shortcomings — it seems more an indication the U.S. could be preparing for war.   Continue reading “US Now Assessing Effectiveness of Dropping Nukes on Russia & China — Seriously”

Having already succeeded in delaying the confirmation of Tom Price and Steven Mnuchin, when Democrats boycotted a committee vote which had a minimum quorum requirement, moments ago Senate Democrats succeeded in stalling – if only temporarily – another confirmation when they used a procedural move on Tuesday afternoon to stall committee vote, this time on Jeff Sessions’ nomination to become US Attorney General amid last night’s controversy in which Trump fired the acting Attorney General Sally Yates for insubordination.

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) – The state of California is studying ways to suspend financial transfers to Washington after the Trump administration threatened to withhold federal money from sanctuary cities, KPIX 5 has learned.

Officials are looking for money that flows through Sacramento to the federal government that could be used to offset the potential loss of billions of dollars’ worth of federal funds if President Trump makes good on his threat to punish cities and states that don’t cooperate with federal agents’ requests to turn over undocumented immigrants, a senior government source in Sacramento said.   Continue reading “California Could Cut Off Feds In Response To Trump Threats”

The Kabbalah (“reception”), is a series of books of magic and mysticism. The canon has not been strictly defined although the rabbinic consensus names the Zohar as the most important volume. Another book, Sefer Yetzirah is a guide to black magic in Judaism.

Zoharic studies in English have been advanced exponentially by the recent publication of Daniel Matt’s uncensored translation of all of the volumes traditionally associated with the Zohar.   Continue reading “Judaism: Satanism, Sorcery & Black Magic”
