It happened around 2:45 p.m. as officers responded to a burglary call.

Congress will vote today on a nearly 1,000-page bill that holds drastic changes for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). If the bill is approved, it would speed up the approval of new drugs and medical devices. The House has been heavily criticized for allegedly rushing piece of legislation through without sufficient scrutiny. [1]

The legislation, dubbed the 21st Century Cures Act, sets aside $6.3 billion for biomedical research, opioid abuse prevention, and support for the FDA, which oversees the safety of drugs. In Evart, Michigan, which is just 120 miles from Flint, Nestle is in the process of negotiating a permit with the state of Michigan to increase  its current pumping operations for its private bottled water business to 210 million gallons of water per year. One suspect is reportedly dead and at least nine people are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries after a male attacker reportedly drove his car into a crowd of pedestrians and then stabbed them with a butcher knife on the Columbus campus of Ohio State University Monday morning. School officials initially reported the incident as a shooting but later stated that “injuries include stab wounds, injury by motor vehicle and other injuries that are being evaluated.”
