After coming under fire from atheist groups for the distribution of free Bibles, the Delta County School District (DCSD) has approved the circulation of atheistic, secular and Satanic literature to middle and high school students.

Several atheist organizations, including The Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF), Western Colorado Atheists and Freethinkers (WCAF) and the Satanic Temple, applied to distribute their literature as a challenge to the school district’s “open forum” policy that allows any group to distribute non-curricular literature to students, as long as it conforms to policy guidelines.   Continue reading “Colorado School District to Begin Distribution of Satanic Materials to Children”

Michigan’s State Board of Education has drafted a guidance that would push the state’s schools to allow all students, regardless of parental or doctoral input, to choose their gender, name, pronouns, and bathrooms.

Spearheaded by board president John C. Austin and signed by state superintendent Brian Whiston, the guidance informs Michigan public schools that only the students themselves–i.e. not their parents or doctors–can determine what their individual gender identities are.   Continue reading “Michigan Schools To Let Students Choose Gender, Name And Bathroom”

North Carolina’s governor on Wednesday signed into law a measure that blocks local governments in the state from enacting ordinances to allow transgender people to use public bathrooms that match their gender identities.

The legislation came in response to such a provision approved last month in Charlotte, the state’s largest city, as part of an expanded nondiscrimination ordinance that also added protections for marital and familial status, sexual orientation, gender expression and gender identity.   Continue reading “N.C. governor signs bill repealing Charlotte transgender bathroom law”

Emergency patrols, beefed up security at transport hubs and a heavier armed police presence have become the new reality in Europe, following the deadly Brussels attacks.

The Netherlands’ National Coordinator for Security and Counter-Terrorism (NCTV) agency said on Wednesday that Dutch military police would carry heavier arms to ensure the security of ‘high-risk sites’ such as government buildings, parliament, Jewish institutions and major transit hubs and border crossings. The agency, however, has not specified the exact type of weapons officers would carry.   Continue reading “Armed police out in force across Europe in wake of Brussels attacks”

Ever since its inception, the FDA’s influence has steadily grown over the products consumed by millions of Americans and over the choices the American people are able to make regarding those products. For many, the FDA stands as America’s gold standard and a voice by which to measure all things regarding food and pharmaceuticals as well as a number of other substances.

For those who value freedom of choice, however, the FDA has come to be viewed as a pariah due to its blatantly obvious attacks on natural supplements, natural food and the health of the people it was allegedly created to protect.   Continue reading “5 Most Pervasive Poisons The FDA Has Approved”

Arizona – -(Ammoland.com)- My Colleague at Gun Watch, John J. Ray (M.A.; Ph.D.),  has published extensively.  He has some insight into the recent “study” published in the Lancet:

The major British medical journals are heavily politicized — both Lancet and BMJ. Lancet even criticized the Iraq intervention under George Bush II. When they stick to their knitting — medical research — they do publish some good studies and are prestigious because of that. But the people running the journals are obviously Left-leaning — like most academics — so they can’t help misusing the platform they have to hand in order to promote their Leftist views.

A federal appeals court on Tuesday ordered a lower court judge to dismiss a lawsuit challenging gun control laws approved by Colorado in the wake of a movie theater massacre in a Denver suburb, saying the plaintiffs lacked standing to bring the case.

The measures, which passed the Colorado legislature and were signed into law by Governor John Hickenlooper, a Democrat, in 2013 were considered a victory by gun-control activists in a state where gun ownership is treasured.   Continue reading “U.S. court rejects challenge to Colorado gun control laws”

NEXT month, the Temple of Baal will come to Times Square. Reproductions of the 50-foot arch that formed the temple’s entrance are to be installed in New York and in London, a tribute to the 2,000-year-old structure that the Islamic State destroyed last year in the Syrian town of Palmyra. The group’s rampage through Palmyra, a city that reached its peak in the second and third century A.D., enraged the world, spurring scholars and conservationists into action. Numerous nongovernmental organizations are now cataloging and mapping damaged cultural heritage sites in the region.   Continue reading “The Temple of Baal will come to Times Square.”
