Genetically modified apples have been approved by the industry-corrupted USDA, a federal regulator that accomplishes for the biotech industry the same thing the FDA achieves for Big Pharma: unlimited profits, lax regulation and a ready willingness to accept fabricated “science” as fact.

“The USDA’s environmental review received 73,000 comments that overwhelmingly opposed the commercialization of Arctic Apples,” explains a press release from Food & Water Watch. [1]   Continue reading “GMOs invade fruit industry: Apples, pears, cherries and peaches to all become unlabeled GMO”

President Obama has repeatedly said that U.S. troops would not be sent into harm’s way to fight ISIS and those who are in the region are there to only provide training and advisory support.

WASHINGTON — If you’ve been remiss in cleaning out your email in-box, here’s some incentive: The federal government can read any emails that are more than six months old without a warrant.

The US Navy said it has censured three admirals for their roles in a widening bribery scandal, the highest-ranking officers to be punished in the case so far.

Although a criminal investigation did not result in charges for the three officers, the admirals had failed to uphold the standards of conduct and would receive letters of censure from Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, officials said.

The three officers “demonstrated poor judgment and a failure of leadership in prior tours,” Mabus said in a statement.   Continue reading “U.S. Navy censures three admirals in bribery scandal”
