Tamir RiceReason – by Robby Soave

Timothy Loehmann, the Cleveland police officer who shot and killed 12-year-old Tamir Rice within two seconds of encountering the boy, was deemed “unfit for duty” while serving on another police force. Supervisors specifically cited his “dismal” handgun performance and emotional instability when they forced him to resign in December 2012.

Loehmann was previously employed by the City of Independence. During a training exercise at a gun range, he became “distracted and weepy,” according to information obtained by The Guardian:   Continue reading “Cop Who Killed Tamir Rice Was Previously Kicked off Force for ‘Dismal’ Gun Performance, Emotional Instability”

With Ebola on everybody’s minds these days, the topic of disease prevention, and particularly how to avoid viral infections — incidentally, the annual rite of “flu season” is also upon us — is surely on every survivalist’s radar. But learning how best to prepare for, well, the worst poses its own set of unique challenges because, quite frankly, real solutions for disease eradication aren’t exactly popular media’s thing.    Continue reading “How to prevent flu season viruses from infecting you”

While a Staten Island grand jury decided on Wednesday not to indict the New York City police officer involved in the death of Eric Garner, prosecutors were able to secure an indictment against the man who filmed the fatal encounter.

As the Staten Island Advance reported, 22-year-old Ramsey Orta was indicted this past August, 13 days after being arrested and charged with charged with felony counts of third-degree criminal weapon possession and criminal firearm possession.   Continue reading “NYPD cop who choked Eric Garner wasn’t indicted — but man who recorded the incident was”

Beijing) – China’s rise has been epitomized recently by its push for two international financial institutions, the New Development Bank, or “BRICS bank,” and the Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

What has set the two multilateral financing vehicles apart from established international development banks is that they are spearheaded by emerging economies and have made headway in a short period of time.   Continue reading “China Uses Development Bank Push to Become Banker to Emerging Markets”

A major theme here at Liberty Blitzkrieg over the past year has been the creative ways in which corrupt Chinese oligarchs and government officials are maneuvering their way into the United States. To be clear, I am not anti-immigration by any stretch of the imagination. My mother was an immigrant. This is about being against corrupt and morally compromised individuals being welcomed here with open arms just because they have cash. We have enough domestic criminal oligarchs as it stands. These people have collectively captured the American political and economic system and control it to their own ends. Do we really need to import more of these types from abroad?   Continue reading “How the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is Selling Residency to Chinese “Investors” at $500k a Pop”

The ink on Barack Obama’s Chuck Hagel termination letter hasn’t dried yet but already the US president’s new, and seemingly far more hawkish advisors, are having their warmongering presence felt. Case in point: the Eastern European theater of (Cold) war, where Military.comreports that the new Army commander in Europe plans to bolster the U.S. armored presence in Poland and the Baltic states and keep rotations of U.S. troops there through next year and possibly beyond tocounter Russia. Lt. Gen. Frederick “Ben” Hodges, who replaced Lt. Gen. Donald M. Campbell  earlier this month as commander of U.S. Army Europe, said the Army was looking to add about 100 Abrams tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles to the forces in Eastern Europe.   Continue reading “US Army Sends 100 Tanks To Eastern Europe To “Deter Russian Aggression””

Tech-savvy anarchists ran rings around the NYPD during last week’s Ferguson-related protests — and cops are now on edge over what the renegades may be able to pull off after a ruling in the Eric Garner case.

food-from-the-skyTrue Activist – by John Vibes

Thornton’s Budgens supermarket in Crouch End, north London, was one of the most sustainable supermarkets in the world, until its untimely end this past March. The most interesting feature of the supermarket was that it actually had a rooftop garden that supplied the store with food.

The rooftop garden was part of a program called “Food From The Sky”, which brought a new philosophy of sustainability to the food industry. Not only was all of the store’s food produced on the roof, but the compost used for the garden was actually made from waste produced by the store.   Continue reading “Why Cant All Supermarkets Grow Food On The Roof Like This One Did?”

The U.S. drone program in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Yemen is referred to as “targeted killing” of those deemed to be a danger to American interests. President Barack Obama even said in a speech on May 23, 2013, “[B]y narrowly targeting our action against those who want to kill us, and not the people they hide among, we are choosing the course of action least likely to result in the loss of innocent life.” Instead, the Central Intelligence Agency attacks are anything but targeted; hundreds often die in the multiple attempts to kill each individual.   Continue reading “Aiming for Two Militant Leaders in Pakistan, U.S. Drone Pilots Killed 233 People, including 89 Children”

Did you hear about the four black men, armed to the teeth, who pulled up to a white-owned gas station in Ferguson, Missouri, a week ago? They weren’t there to join the rioters, who burned and looted stores and vehicles up and down the streets that night. No, they were there to protect the gas station from the vandals.

One of the men, who was identified only as “R.J.,” explained the reason for the men’s actions. He said the owner, Doug Merello, had given many of them jobs over the years. “He’s a nice dude,” R.J. said. “He’s helped a lot of us.”   Continue reading “The Real Heroes of Ferguson”

aztec-death-whistleOddity Central – by Sumitra

The Aztec death whistle produces a sound so horrifying, it will chill you to the bone. Described as the ‘scream of a thousand corpses’, the death whistle sounds like the cry of the un-dead, or the torment of a human being burned alive.

Interestingly, the skull-shaped whistles were discovered 20 years ago by archaeologists, but were dismissed as mere toys. Most studies focused on how they looked, but no one really thought to blow into them. Now that the fearsome sound of the whistle has been discovered, it is attracting the attention of scientists, musicians and historians alike.   Continue reading “Aptly Named Aztec Death Whistle Makes the Creepiest Sound You’ve Ever Heard”

Experts have already begun to mention the chance that the average price for a gallon of regular gas will drop below $2 in some parts of America. There are several states where this is highly likely. As a matter of fact, the prices in these states could drop below $2 as early are the start of next year.

Most of the states likely to post sub- $2 gas have three things in common. These are the general drop in oil prices, proximity to large refineries, and low state gas taxes.   Continue reading “8 States Where Gas Will Drop Below $2”

Money Metals Exchange – by David Smith

For over two thousand years, China practiced what came to be known as the “tributary system,” reflecting the view that it alone was the center of the civilized world. All who wished to do business with the Chinese were considered tributary states. Rulers and travelers from other lands had to follow certain procedures, including gift giving, in order to associate or do business with them.

When Japan ignored this policy, it brought about two invasion attempts by the Mongols under Kublai Khan.   Continue reading “Dramatic Increase in Gold Flows into China”
