Mah-hi-vist Goodblanket was experiencing what his parents liken an “episode.” His parents called 911, hoping the presence of police would help to deescalate the situation. Yet shortly after those with badges arrived, Mah-hi-vist was shot seven times, including once to the back of his head, by two Custer County Sheriff employees – Dillon Mach* and a still-unnamed second shooter.

*Dillon Mach had previously worked for Clinton police outfit and was about to be fired but did a lateral transfer to Custer County Sheriff before that happened. I wonder if he’s a ‘Brady Cop‘?   Continue reading “Parents of Teen Slain by Oklahoma “Authorities” Still Seeking Justice”

John Kerry.The Guardian

US Secretary of State John Kerry flew to Afghanistan late Thursday on an unannounced visit to press the country’s two feuding presidential candidates on the urgency of ending a bitter dispute over June elections and forming a new government by early September.

Kerry’s visit comes as the election results are being audited in a process that he brokered last month. Senior officials traveling with Kerry said the U.S. wants to see the ultimate winner inaugurated — and a new “chief executive officer” chosen by the loser under the terms of a national unity government compromise — before the upcoming NATO summit in Wales Sept. 4.   Continue reading “John Kerry makes unannounced visit to Afghanistan after death of US general”

President Barack Obama drew the diplomatic line somewhere at the first ever U.S-Africa summit at the White House this week by not inviting Zimbabwe’s brutal dictator Robert Mugabe.

But the guest list still included several other African leaders with only slightly better human rights records.

The White House promoted the summit as the largest-ever gathering of African leaders in the United States, with more than 50 countries represented.    Continue reading “Obama’s monsters ball: How the White House opened its doors to some of Africa’s most evil dictators and homophobes and turned blind eye to their human rights record”

AUSTIN, Texas — National Guard troops beginning a controversial deployment to the Rio Grande Valley to help deal with a flood of undocumented immigrants will stow their combat gear and take up Spanish lessons, state officials said Tuesday as questions continued to swirl about whether the additional boots on the ground even were needed.

The Guard troops will be armed for self-defense and trained to avoid confrontation with border crossers as they help back up federal border agents and hundreds of Department of Public Safety troopers, Texas Rangers, DPS investigators and game wardens who arrived weeks ago.   Continue reading “Guard Troops to Take Up Spanish Lessons”

I’m not quite sure how it happened, but someone was able to get a gun in Brooklyn and use it to commit a crime. This is in direct contradiction to the current laws that are on the books that make it next to impossible for anyone to carry a pistol.

Sarcasm aside, this shooting happened this past Friday in Brooklyn and police are still searching for the suspect. The person who was shot wound up in the hospital, but is expected to make a full recovery.   Continue reading “Shooting In Broad Daylight In The Gun Free Zone Of Brooklyn”

EFFERSON CITY, Mo., Aug. 5, 2014 – By a big margin at the polls on Tuesday, Missouri voters took an important step to protect their electronic communications and data from the prying eyes of state and local law enforcement, and also effectively blocked a small but intrusive practical effect of federal spying within the state.

Wtih a 75 percent YES vote, Missourians approved Amendment 9, giving “electronic data and communications” the same state constitutional protections as “persons, homes, papers and effects.” This eliminates any constitutional ambiguity surrounding electronic data and specifically bars state agencies from accessing it without a warrant in most cases.   Continue reading “Taking a Swipe at Big Brother: Missouri voters say YES to Privacy”

If you haven’t had a heart attack, step away from the aspirin bottle… If you are one of the 40 million Americans who take an aspirin every day, you may want to heed the latest warning from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

After many decades of promoting aspirin, the FDA now says that if you have not experienced a heart problem, you should not be taking a daily aspirin—even if you have a family history of heart disease. This represents a significant departure from FDA’s prior position on aspirin for the prevention of heart attacks.   Continue reading “FDA Reverses Its Position on Daily Aspirin”
