On May 18, 2014, I received a call from my 22 year old autistic son. I immediately got in my truck and went to where my son was being ticketed. When I drove up on the right hand side of the road, adjacent to my son’s car, I did not leave my vehicle and I kept it running. The officer turned around and asked, “Can I help you?” I said, “I’m his father.” The officer yelled at me to please leave the premises. LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles police found a shotgun that fell off an officer’s motorcycle and on Friday arrested the man accused of taking it from the area.

Three men showed up at a home in Wellington, Florida and got into a dispute with the son of the homeowner. When one of the men pulled a knife and threatened the homeowner, the homeowner protected himself and his family. WASHINGTON — About 550 Army majors, including some serving in Afghanistan, will soon be told they have to leave the service by next spring as part of a budget-driven downsizing of the service.
Gen. John Campbell, the vice chief of the Army, acknowledged Friday that telling troops in a war zone that they’re out of a job is a difficult task. But he said some of the soldiers could join the National Guard or the Army Reserve.

A 71 year old resident of New Haven, Connecticut had to use deadly force to defend himself at around 8am on Sunday morning when his neighbor allegedly attacked him with a knife.
According to WTNH, the suspect in the case is identified as 23 year old Leroy Brown.

A fifteen year old boy in Columbia County, GA was forced to shoot his uncle, Kenneth Wayne Newman Jr., after Newman came to the boy’s home, destroyed property, assaulted his father, and put him in a choke hold while threatening to kill him.
According to local media outlets, Newman came to his brother’s home intoxicated just after 2am. Newman allegedly began destroying property at the home and threatening to kill his brother, Richard Green. A North Canterbury school’s plan to fit students with microchip bracelets to track their behaviour has prompted concern among parents.
Swannanoa School wants to use silicon bracelets as part of a scheme to reward good behaviour, minutes from a Parent Teacher Association meeting show.
Teachers would use portable scanners to add points to a student’s online good behaviour chart with a reward when a certain amount of points was accumulated.
