Despite the Obama administration’s insistence in 2014 that illegal border crossings from Mexico are “an urgent humanitarian situation”, the number of unaccompanied minors crossing over has soared to over 10,000 over the last two months in a new surge.

US Border and Customs Protection is reporting a 106 percent increase from last year’s October 1-November 30 period, with 10,588 children apprehended, compared to last year’s 5,129. The same can be said of family detentions to an even larger degree: The October 1-November 30 period last year saw 4,577 arrests whereas there were 12,505 over the same period in 2015 – a 176 percent increase.   Continue reading “Over 10,000 lone children apprehended crossing Mexico-US border in past 2 months”

In a convent in Ireland, the 98-year-old Mother Superior lay dying. The nuns gathered around  her bed trying to make her last journey comfortable. Then, remembering a bottle of Irish Whiskey that had been received as a gift the previous Christmas, she opened it and poured a generous amount into the warm milk.   Continue reading “Got milk?”

The courtroom remarks of the suspected killer in a recent attack on a Colorado Planned Parenthood clinic confirm that—contrary to the feelings of some conservatives—violent, disaffected Americans need no help from Islam to commit acts of terror.

Robert Dear repeatedly interrupted his court-appointed attorney this week, declaring himself guilty and a “warrior for the babies,” and accusing the lawyer tasked with potentially saving his life of seeking a gag order to conceal what Dear described as the crimes of Planned Parenthood that led to the assault of Nov. 27.   Continue reading “Accused Planned Parenthood Killer Tells Court He’s a ‘Warrior for the Babies’”

The Pentagon isn’t known for being frugal with its spending habits, and new reports have surfaced which show that US taxpayers footed the bill for nearly $150 million in luxury villa rentals and fine dining in Afghanistan.

When Pentagon personnel travel abroad, they’re typically placed in government housing, perfectly livable accommodations which save taxpayers millions. But according to a letter written by John Sopko, the chief of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), a Defense Department agency spent an exorbitant sum to house government employees in “western-style accommodations.”   Continue reading “Pentagon wastes $150 million of taxpayers money on luxury villas in Afghanistan”
