Baltimore Man Shot In The Face for Attempting to Run Away and Hide From Police

Baltimore, MD — A man was shot in the face after running away from Baltimore police Sunday morning. It was not indicated that the man hurt or threatened anyone in any way, but police officers were tipped off that he was in possession of a gun. The victim reportedly ran from police when they approached him, and he attempted to hide in a nearby garage.

The police have not given any details about what happened when officers entered the garage, aside from the fact that the victim was shot in the face, and that none of the officers were injured.

The victim, who still has yet to be identified. was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and listed in critical, but stable condition.

As the residents of Baltimore are still waiting for justice to be served in the murder of Freddie Gray, the police are still using excessive force on people engaging in non-violent actions. The war on drugs and the war on guns, have provided government agents with an excuse to criminalize vast portions of society, simply for carrying protection, or for making their own choices with their own bodies.

Meanwhile, violent crime in Baltimore has grown out of control as police divert all of their time and resources towards persecuting drug offenders since that provides an easier and more plentiful revenue stream. The blowback from the war on drugs creates a slew of problems from a violent black market, to gang violence, to contempt for law enforcement.

The anti-gun hysteria among police is extremely hypocritical, considering the fact that they are all armed to the teeth. Imagine if people just went around shooting at cops because they have guns, there would be outrage, but this is exactly the same thing that police are doing to the average gun owner.

It is particularly easy for the public to dismiss this man’s life and the shooting because of the presence of a gun. But just like these officers, we have no idea if he had committed a crime prior to being pursued by police. He was pointed out by someone who said he had a gun,

While there is much attention paid to the unarmed victims of police violence, and rightfully so, we should also take a close look at cases where the victim was simply exersizing their right to keep and bear arms.

  1. We should start posting how many of these cop articles begin with someone calling 911 or the police, which causes a lot of this.

IT BEGINS WITH SOME ASSHOLE CALLING 911 OR THE COPS. Because of the wal-mart video see-something/say-something? Is that why everyone’s turned into a cop-caller?

Those 2 kids that were walking home from a playground, a guy called 911 and said they were “unchaperoned”.

This one begins with someone “tipped off the cops” that a guy had a gun. There is a trend here of cop-callers, what’s up with that?

This is ALSO a possibility: they’re making it up and putting it in every story that someone called 911 or the cops to “train” us to be like them, and call 911 or the cops at the drop of a hat.

Either way – if we’ve become a nation of cop-callers or they’re making it up – it’s bad.

  2. Police are a useless, and expensive cancer on our society, and if not for a life of TV-brainwashing, the American people wold have gotten rid of them long ago.

Now they’re another street gang, and they’re not going to disband even if their paychecks stop coming, because they probably make more money through theft.

  3. “The victim, who still has yet to be identified. was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and listed in critical, but stable condition.”

Lucky to be alive, considering. Must not have been ‘in fear for their (miserable, worthless) lives’.

“Imagine if people just went around shooting at cops because they have guns, there would be outrage,..”

Not on FTT. There would be cheers.

    And jubilation.
