Bloomberg called Hickenlooper during gun control debate

BLOOMBERG: Did he influence Hickenlooper's gun control decisions?Colorado Watchdog – by Calvin Thompson

Despite Gov. John Hickenlooper’s repeated denial that the new gun control policies had nothing to do with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s harsh anti-gun rhetoric, phone records indicate that the two politicians exchanged personal phone calls at least twice during the Colorado gun control debates.

Todd Shepherd, an investigative reporter at theIndependence Institute and editor-in-chief ofCompleteColorado.comreported yesterday that Hickenlooper got a phone call from Bloomberg on March 2, just two short days before the gun-control bills went to Senate committee hearings.

The New York City mayor’s second call to Hickenlooper happened on March 19, the day before the governor signed into law the gun control measures.

Mayors Against Illegal Guns, an activist grouped co-founded and largely funded by Bloomberg, boasts 13 Colorado members, including Denver Mayor Michael Hancockand Boulder Mayor Matthew Applebaum.

  1. “Mayors against Illegal Guns”, what a farce. The only “illegal” I know is a sick bird. Billionaire Bloomberg has no business throwing his money around in other states to forward his agenda. These rich f@#ckers who think they know better should know this. Once things get nasty their “gated communities” will be the first ones stormed by the masses in retaliation for all their exploitation.

  2. After the civil wars start and we win, we should ensure people like Bloomberg when held for trail should be fed only money. Worthless dollars, as much as they can eat, but nothing else, because it was ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

    1. Show a little compassion Mick, salt and pepper packets provided for their “last meal” of dirty, used, and worthless bills right before they get the noose.

  3. I hope this meddling yenta gets hit by a bus. (seeing him get run over by his own tour bus would be especially memorable)

He’s the mayor of NYC, and there’s plenty that needs fixing right there at home. Why the hell is he touring the country to break everyone else’s walnuts? It’s hard to comprehend the audacity of these “chosen people”.
