Rep. Mike Honda, a Democrat in the California state legislature, wants to ban body armor in the Golden State.
According to press release on Honda’s website,
Congressman Mike Honda (D-CA17) today introduced the Responsible Body Armor Possession Act of 2014, which allows law enforcement to respond to active shooters more effectively. It accomplishes this by prohibiting the sale, purchase, use, or possession of enhanced military-grade body armor by anyone who is not a member of law enforcement, active duty military, or other authorized users.
“There is no reason this type of armor, which is designed for warfare, should be available in our communities except for those who need it, like law enforcement,” Congressman Honda said. “There’s nothing more dangerous than what a well-armored, unstoppable active shooter can do. This bill is common-sense and long overdue.”
The reason he gives is, well, dumb. According to NBC Bay Area,
“We’re not talking about just a standard bullet-proof vest,” he said. “We’re talking about body armor that is designed for warfare, designed to protect against law enforcement ammunitions.”Honda said shootings by armored assailants are becoming a trend in recent years and said that according to experts, “access to military-grade body armor emboldens criminals and mass shooters to act.”
“There’s nothing more dangerous than an unstoppable, well-armored shooter,” he said. “The law enforcement community sees an increase in use of body armor in violent, gun-related crimes.”
Honda cited an individual incident in which a suspect wearing body armor shot and killed two sheriff’s deputies last month, but he didn’t give any details about whether the body armor allowed the suspect to continue fighting longer than normal.

The police are the real danger. They should be disarmed and only be allowed to drive golf carts. Its disgusting seeing all the brand new muscle cars with custom high gloss paint jobs that the pigs around here drive. They wouldn’t feel so tough without their glocks and driving around in a golf cart.
Why don’t they just pass a law every one has to go naked there. It is warm there. And the police would feel safe from there missdeed’s that way. That should reduce the murder rate and beatings there.
How ’bout we ban bodyguards for politicians.

Although, I’m sure if it were illegal immigrants and illegal immigrant children, they would most certainly be exempt from all of this.
Look at what this Congressman said. He said “I don’t mean any old bullet proof vest, I’m talking about body armor that stops law enforcement ammunition”. Ha! Proof! Proof that the freaking cops are using armor piercing rounds! These pig politicians want a regular citizen to have zero chance of surviving the callas murdering and shootings by reckless cops.

Exactly right. How do you stop a cop that is a well-armored, unstoppable active shooter? You don’t. That is the point. They want to be able to kill the people at will with nothing to prevent them. This is not about safety, it is about control. Kill the defenseless people and they will begin to obey, they have no other choice other than dying.
This is why we need guns and every other conceivable device that can be used against the government and their jackboots. So we can control them. It was never intended that they should control us. We the people have the power and we have to maintain that power or we will be enslaved even more than we are now.
Rule #1….Make the tyranny enforcers bullet proof and fill everyone else with bullet holes.
