Google’s online video service is rolling out changes to the way comments work on YouTube, giving creators more power to moderate and block comments, and adding new sorting mechanisms to ensure better, more relevant discussions appear at the top. A listener to The Hagmann & Hagmann Report observed an interesting, if not disconcerting event in a small town that borders the Smoky Mountains. A German soldier transport truck, complete with the Balkenkreuz der Deutschen Streitkräfte emblem (a World War II insignia of the German armed forces) on the driver’s door, being driven into the Smoky Mountains. According to this listener, the driver appeared of Russian origin and seemed extremely nervous at the gaze of this listener. George Zimmerman was arrested on domestic violence charges Monday after pointing a shotgun at his girlfriend, smashing a glass-topped table and pushing her out of her Seminole County home, deputies said.

A Louisiana sinkhole that has sucked in trees and swamps as it spread to the size of 20 football fields is now at risk of exploding.
Residents of Bayou Corne were evacuated a year ago when the sinkhole, which is emitting natural gases, opened up.

A protest in South Carolina is adding fuel to the fire in the opposition to the controversial Common Core State Standards, as local parents plan to keep their children out of school Monday to rally at the South Carolina Department of Education.
The organization South Carolina Parents Involved in Education dubbed the protest “National Don’t Send Your Child to School Day,” to coincide with the beginning of National Education Week and seeks to start a “revolution in opposition of the Common Core Standards”, according to the group’s website. But the organizers are urging parents across the country to keep their children out of school in protest of the standards, which some see as a federal overreach into state educational policies. George Zimmerman was arrested today and was headed for the Seminole County Jail, according to Sheriff Don Eslinger.
It’s not clear what happened or what crime he’s accused of committing, but just before 1:30 p.m., Eslinger confirmed that Zimmerman had been arrested and was being driven to the county jail in Sanford.
