Cherokee Legend

“An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. ‘A fight is going on inside me,’ he said to the boy. ‘It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil — he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.’

He continued, ‘The other is good — he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you — and inside every other person, too.’

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, ‘Which wolf will win?’ The old Cherokee simply replied, ‘The one you feed.’”

  1. I luv indians..

    But I gotta tell ya…

    I have to apologize.

    For my behavior.

    My commentary has been offensive…

    Obscene…

    Racist. ..

    Sexist. ..

And best of all not funny..

My jokes are bad… and in bad taste.

    Oh really….fleee

    How bad are they..?????

    They’re so bad…

I have an oldgeezer online trying to stick his dk up my azz.

Let’s. ..see if that nigger is smart enough pick it up on this comment.

  2. I disagree completely with this philosophy:
Without anger, rage, malice, fury, hatred, sorrow, regret and all the rest of it we loose some very useful tools and motivators.

Without anger, rage, fury and hatred we can not be stirred from sitting on our hands. Sorrow and regret aid us by being a constant reminder of why we must not sit idly by but learn from our mistakes, it shows we actually… REGRET, our mistakes! Envy motives us as well to try harder and do better rather than wallow. Ego and pride are also important, VERY important: without them you are nothing more than an animal, pride makes us walk upright with our head held high.

There is a lot of “old indian wisdom” I agree with but just as much I can not stand because it weakens you, tears away what makes you stronger, what makes you WHOLE. All of those things combined good and bad make us a complete PERSON, we learn from those things and better ourselves.

What others consider evil we must have in order to be FREE, it is part of being an individual but like all things: Too much of one or another and it becomes POISON!

All those “virtues” spoken of will get us all killed in a heartbeat against our current enemy as they PREY upon those who exemplify them, they FEED on them and use them against us.

There is a time and place for all of the above but a TRULY WISE man or woman knows WHEN to use them not SHUN them!

I do not like that quote.

    Edit:
Allow me to teach you WESTERN thinking as it USED to be:
The Odyssey! What a great story and in that epic was a conversation between Odysseus and his son. His son wanted to rush off and kill the enemy but Odysseus said to wait, that there was a time and place for all that hatred, fury and rage, to bottle it up until the time was right.

When the time was right he encouraged his son to release all that pure RAGE on their enemies and they won back their home and kingdom.

The lesson here is this: Everything is a tool, do not fear your emotions but control them and know when to release them and on WHOM.

    1. All I know is they sure had it made until the “Western thinking” came and Fked it all up

and the Indians weren’t an Enemy ( yes they sure as hell were treated like one).. they were just in the dam way of the mindset of the western world ways, Genocide is what it was
and those to blame didnt come from this side of the globe
but those same bastards and their way of thinking is still Fking it up for you and me to this day

      1. Not true, they had wars and infighting like anyone else, tribes were exterminated long before white people came along and even during white people running around they were wiping each other out. No one “had it made,” that is the BS white guilt lie they try to push.

Those who destroyed ALL of us however are a league of their own as they prescribe to neither what I said nor the indian philosophies: they adhere to royal blood lines and therefor they own us. Jews are the finest example of this today as the thinking of the jew, masons and blue blooded goes straight back to ancient Babylon and their blood cult.

People actually got along decently on this continent with both western and indian philosophies till a handful of royalists decided they had to dominate everyone. Now while I am an expansionist they were more than willing to betray their own allies like Andrew Jackson did when he kicked the indians out.

All our problems go straight back to a handful or one religious group and it has nothing to do with whites or “western ways.” It has to do with the ancient blood suckers who keep slithering their way back in because people are too spineless to execute them all when given the chance; they keep showing “mercy” towards them and thus the cycle starts all over again.

Right now these same ones are pushing the wetbacks north to cause another repetition of history, only those at the top will benefit but everyone blames western values, culture or whites when again, its a handful of ancient blood lines and a cult religious group known as the jews.

      2. That is a distortion of history. The Europeans did invade, but tribal chiefs embraced the invasion and became rich and powerful as they sold out their people. Indian armies conquered other tribes’ land to sell to the white man.
To say the Indians were never an enemy, you would have to dismiss the French Indian Wars where the northern tribes joined with the French. And even the Revolutionary War where the Iroquois Nation joined with the British against the Americans.
No, there is nothing pure about any of it. There was good and bad on both sides all the way down the line.

        1. I guess anyone can be an Enemy if made to react

we all are now ..when it comes to governments , we are all enemies

also learned something new today .. thanks

        2. Thanks for being RIGHT AGAIN, HENRY! And it took visiting a reservation near El Paso (Tigua I think it’s called) to find out that many years before the white man (either Spaniards from Spain thru Mexico, or US nationals from Europe) came to Texas, there were many tribes in Texas no one ever heard of because known tribes like the Comanchi (here in far west Texas) wiped them out. There was one large tribe starting with a “k” in south Texas that disappeared before the 1400s, and also the Aztecs of Mexico wiped out many tribes as well, including the large Toltec tribe of northern Mexico and SW Texas, long before Cortez invaded. Native Americans are just like anyone else, good and bad.

  3. As I always say………
You bring love to the battle and I”ll bring a weapon and lets see who walks away.

  4. I call bullshit. If that were an old Cherokee saying I would have heard it from an old Cherokee.
    Namely my GRANNY…….

    1. I always find it amusing when everyone says that they have {{{Cherokee blood}}}. You hear it all the time. How many times do you hear someone say they have Choctaw blood? Apache? Sioux? Or even Powhatan blood?

12th great-grandson to John Rolfe Jr. and Matoaka Amonute Powhatan. 93T verified people in my Tree.

  5. Like I said…

    I luv indians…

    Especially their curry.

And I really hate to break to you.

But the Irish were here first.

Google the lovelock cave in NV.

7′ to 10′ red hair giants that were chasing and eating pauite indians.

That’s why I luv Irish people.

    Because one….

They have livers made of steel.

    And… two…

Once they get tired of listening to your bullsht drinking.

They’ll just punch you in the face.
