A video capturing an altercation between a child, a man and a woman in front of a California Target has gone viral.
“I showed it to friends and family, not intending it to go viral at all and I guess people just started sharing it and sharing it,” Andy Lizarraga, who captured the video and posted to her Facebook last week told KCBS.
The video shows a woman scolding a young child for selling candy outside of the store, when a man steps in and confronts the woman for harassing the child. He then buys all the child’s candy and gives it to other shoppers.
“She comes up to the little kid and is like, ‘Where is your license? Have you asked permission to be here?’ And then the kid is like, ‘No, I’m just selling candy. I’m trying to make some money,’ ” Lizarraga said.
Jay Lopez saw the woman yelling at the child and decided to step in and help.
“She continued to yell at her and scream at her and tell her if she didn’t have a permit, that she was going to go to jail, that Sheriff’s were on their way,” Jay Lopez told KCBS.
“When I walked up, she was crying hysterically,” he said.
Lopez ended up purchasing $80 worth of candy from the child.
“Mind your own business. Take care of yourself and your family and everything will come together for you,” he said.

Nosy, heartless, mean woman! Where’s your license, where’s your permit? Your going to jail? Wow. That woman has watched way to much of the idiot box, and has that police state mentality. Shame on her! I’m glad that man stepped in and bought all the candy from that child.

I agree, Deb. The authoritative mentality, and the authority worship are right out of the idiot box. I remember when even school teachers would warn kids “nobody likes a tattle-tale”, but these days kids are brainwashed with the rat mentality. Everyone wants to be first to “inform the authorities”.

Morning JR. Yes, her authorative attitude makes me physically ill, and unfortunately there are many out there just like her. It does not help that the “see something, say something” campaign has been wholly successful in creating a nation of snitches. Society is sinking into the abyss, thanks to the brainwashing of television. Snitches and tattle tales were shunned at one time and in my book they still are. If I were there, and witnessed her behavior, I would have gone into the store, purchased a bat and chased her off! I’m no spring chicken, but I’m not beyond getting in some old bitches face.

Excellent work by the good Samaritan and by the girl who filmed the incident. I believe that most of the time elderly people should be cut a lot of extra slack, but that nasty old twat jumped at the chance to play the authoritarian busybody at the expense of a young kid who was harming no one.
I hope that old fart sees herself in this clip on the news and burns with shame and embarrassment. Too bad the video doesn’t show her face.
