It would be nice if the mythology about “the brave men and women of law enforcement,” and the image of police that you see on TV and in movies, in some way resembled reality. But it doesn’t.

Being a construction worker is more dangerous than being a cop. This made me laugh because it blew the whole “this is a very dangerous job, cops put their lives on the line daily to protect you” bs..

I can vouch for the hazards of the construction field of work
I’ve been in it for 40 years
You have to have eyes in the back of your head and reflexes of a cat
Can’t tell you how many times my reactions have saved me from possible harm
I’ve also been in and out of steel mills in these 40 years and chemical plants , refineries, hydro power , coal power and nuclear power facilities
Pigs got nothing on the threats I face daily
And I have the scars and a few fked up limbs and fingers to prove it
Not to mention a messed up lower back
Most of the threats these pigs wine about are brought on themselves by how they and their blue line brothers have acted toward the general public , which btw ARE paying their salaries
Unlike us in contstruction who have to break our backs for half what they get paid
Good to hear the truth from a first hand account!
