Speaker of the House John Boehner has been trying to prevent the Department of Homeland Security from running out of money,Guardian – by Dan Roberts

The House of Representatives finally agreed to pay for the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Friday night, just two hours before a lapse in funding that would have forced thousands of key government workers to go without pay.

But an increasingly bitter divide among Republicans forced congressional leaders to settle for just a one-week extension of the existing budget arrangement, buying them only a few short days next week to reach a longer term deal.   Continue reading “Homeland Security shutdown averted as House backs one-week funding deal”

Efforts to beat Ebola in Sierra Leone have been dealt a setback after 31 new cases were recorded in one village.

The community of 500 just outside the town of Makeni has now been put in lockdown by the army amid fears that more could be infected.

The World Health Organisation said cases had been linked to one man who escaped quarantine in Freetown to go to his village for treatment from a traditional faith healer.   Continue reading “Ebola: Sierra Leone village in lockdown after 31 new cases recorded”

AR-15SHTF Plan – by Mac Slavo

If nothing else can be said about President Obama, he has adamantly stuck to one key promise – the one he made to the Brady Center to pursue gun control ‘under the radar.

The AR-15 is America’s most popular sporting rifle, and it has been falsely mischaracterized as an “automatic” firearm and an “assault” weapon. It has been demonized as a monstrosity via the Sandy Hook shootings. Bans on it and other so-called “assault weapons” have been attempted from every possible angle.   Continue reading “Obama’s Stealth AR-15 Gun Ban Targets Ammo: “No One Can Import, Sell or Even Produce It””

The man authorities say was behind Thursday night’s mass shooting may have broken the law before he even pulled the trigger.

Gun law experts say Joseph Jesse Aldridge, 36, had likely been prohibited from purchasing or possessing a firearm years before the shooting spree in Tyrone.

The prohibition stemmed from Aldridge’s 2008 guilty plea to a federal gun charge.   Continue reading “Suspect in mass shooting had previous, federal gun conviction”

A new study published in the BMJ’s Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health has confirmed Fluoride’s negative effect on the thyroid gland and a possible connection to depression, weight gain, and other negative health effects.

Researchers with the University of Kent in England examined thyroid activity for those in areas with fluoridated water and those without. The team examined 95 percent of the English population in 2012 and 2013 and found high rates of underactive thyroid were 30% more likely in areas with high fluoride concentration. An underactive thyroid can lead to depression, weight gain, fatigue and aching muscles.   Continue reading “New Study Confirms Negative Impact of Fluoride On Thyroid Gland”

Rudy Giuliani is being roundly criticized for several recent statements he has made about President Barack Obama, including the claim that Obama in his youth was influenced by a literal communist. I cannot address all of Giuliani’s remarks, but I can certainly speak to the influence of the communist he referred to. In short, Rudy was correct; and he even had Obama’s exact age (nine) right when he was first introduced to this person.

“From the time he was 9 years old, he was influenced by Frank Marshall Davis, who was a communist,” Giuliani said.   Continue reading “Exposed: This Guy From Obama’s Past Could Destroy Barack and Prove Giuliani Was Right”

Presumably everyone in this room, or virtually everyone, is here today because you have some interest in the topic of secession. You may be interested in it as an abstract concept or as a viable possibility for escaping a federal government that Americans now fear and distrust in unprecedented numbers.   Continue reading “Secession Begins At Home”

winter doldrumsThe Defensive Training Group

Here’s a few things you can do, in no particular order, to help you get through these last formal weeks of winter:

  • Detail disassemble, clean, and lubricate (“Frog Lube” is the cat’s ass!) your Personal Self-Defense platform.
  • Check the edge and hone your primary fixed blade ‘field knife.’  If it’s not razor sharp, it’s not ready for the field.
  • Continue with your regular PT program.

Barak Obama is a facile and Machiavellian intriguer of the highest order. I will leave to others in the commentariat to discuss his bona fides for President, his abhorrent collectivist notions of governing and all the other platitudes that point to a creature that has provided the planetary if not historical model for the dangers of the Peter Principle. He is a man out of his depth, which may be anything beyond a minor city council position, and even that would be a stretch.   Continue reading “Close But No Cigar: The State is Terror by Bill Buppert”
