Not available in bars…yet

The Oregon Environmental Quality Commission recently approved the use of recycled sewage water to brew beer, the Oregon Public Broadcasting’s environmental news organization EarthFix reports.

Brewed via a purification process developed by Oregon’s Clean Water Services, the beer would not be available for commercial or retail use, and the finished product would still need to undergo tests to make sure it is safe to drink. And it won’t be on tap at any bars. It would only be served at tasting events hosted by its manufacturers, the home brewing club Oregon Brew Crew, and other water professional society functions.   Continue reading “Oregon Regulators Approve Plans to Make Beer Out of Sewage Water”

Tim McGrawThe Real Revo – by Jim 22

McGraw doesn’t need to defend his decision. He made it and now he owns it. Gun owners across the country have reacted to his choice in their own ways.

He is not going to change anyone’s mind. He has two choices now: Retirement or a long, slow slide into irrelevance. He does not understand that Progressives will not embrace country music, buy his CD’s, or tickets to his concerts.   Continue reading “Tim McGraw Defends His Decision To Play Benefit For Anti-Gun Group”

An Irish Priest is transferred to Iola, Texas.

He rose from his bed one morning. It was a fine Spring day in his new West Texas mission parish. He walked to the window of his bedroom to get a deep breath of the beautiful day outside.

He then noticed there was a jackass lying dead in the middle of his front lawn. So the priest promptly called the local police station. The conversation went like this:   Continue reading “Father O’Malley and the jackass”

Nearly 150 public school students in Spokane, Wash., have been booted from school for lacking documentation to prove they were vaccinated.

Washington requires all public school children be vaccinated against a variety of illnesses, although parents with religious, philosophical or medical justifications are allowed to obtain a waiver. However, it appears hundreds of students were allowed to go unvaccinated without even receiving those. School officials finally took action Monday, telling hundreds of parents their kids couldn’t come back to class unless they got their shots or a state-approved waiver.   Continue reading “Washington Kicks 143 Kids Out Of School For Not Vaccinating”

My name is Charlesetta Taylor and I live on the north side of St. Louis.  I’m 79-years-old and grew up in the well-kept home I currently live in and love, which has housed three generations of my family. Our lovely home saw a total of 13 children, including my 4 cousins who lived with us, grow from childhood to adulthood.

But my home and the homes of my 46 neighbors are threatened with destruction.  The city wants to give my community to the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) for its relocation.   Continue reading “Help save my longtime family home.”

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — A natural gas pipeline explosion at a California sheriff’s gun range shot flames well over 100 feet into the air, left 11 people injured and brought traffic on a busy highway to a halt, authorities and witnesses said.

The explosion on a Pacific Gas & Electric Co. pipe happened at the Fresno County Sheriff’s gun range while an equipment operator was using a front-loader to build a dirt berm to confine gunfire to the range, the sheriff’s department said. A group of county jail inmates were doing cleanup work nearby and most were injured in the blast.   Continue reading “Gas-line blast at California shooting range injures 11”

The Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office is doing something that no other agency in Harris County is believed to have done yet: Use drones to help fight crime.

It’s an eye in the sky for law enforcement, without giving up the element of surprise.

“It could absolutely save lives,” says Constable Alan Rosen.

Rosen says the agency’s two new $1,200 drones, which have been in use for three weeks, are game changers in getting intel before serving search warrants, on SWAT situations and even looking for escaped inmates.   Continue reading “Eye in the sky: Local constables using drones to fight crime”
