On Thursday afternoon the White House was locked down once again. This time it was because a man flew a remote-controlled aerial device over the White House fence. I guess the new spikes wouldn’t have made a difference in that situation.

New York Times – by Tim Weiner
B. B. King, whose world-weary voice and wailing guitar lifted him from the cotton fields of Mississippi to a global stage and the apex of American blues, died on Thursday at his home in Las Vegas. He was 89.
His death was reported on his website, which said he died in his sleep. Mr. King, who was in hospice care, had been performing until October 2014, when he canceled a tour, citing dehydration and exhaustion stemming from diabetes. Continue reading “B. B. One would think since the Republicans were the majority in both the Florida House and Senate a state shut down would be a non issue but that is not the case.
Governor Scott is worried it could become a reality as the July 1st deadline approaches and negotiations are not where he would like them to be. That is why on Thursday he told agency heads to prepare for the worst and asked them to list only the state’s most critical needs per the Associated Press. Random checkpoints are being set up by U.S. Customs [DHS] agents in the northeast within 100 miles of the Canadian border.
The Border Patrol operates a national network of internal checkpoints, illegally stopping motorists up to 100 miles inside our border! These illegal checkpoints allow DHS to stop and search law-abiding American citizens without justification. BROOKLYN (PIX11) — Another disturbing teen melee broke out inside a Brooklyn McDonald’s Friday, and this time, the brawlers turned their violence on an innocent man trying to break the fracas up and on employees of the fast food joint.
The brutality began at the McDonald’s on Flatbush Avenue Extension in Downtown Brooklyn at about 3 p.m., just as schools were letting out. In the video, a teen girl can be seen standing on a table taking off her top, apparently preparing herself for the fight. Rachel French did what most parents do: she took her baby to the doctor to get vaccinated. She was unaware of the associated risks that come along with these drugs and learned the hard way. She lost her adorable son less than three days after he was given eight routine vaccines.

Melvin Carraway, the acting administrator of the Transportation Security Agency (TSA), refused a request to appear before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Wednesday to discuss persistent flaws in airport security, including passenger and baggage screening.
Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) indicated that ego had something to do with it: The Homeland Security Department, which oversees TSA, objected to having Carraway sit on a panel that included Rafi Ron, an ordinary citizen who runs a private security company. The Department of Veterans Affairs has been spending at least $6 billion a year in violation of federal contracting rules to pay for medical care and supplies, wasting taxpayer money and putting veterans at risk, according to an internal memo written by the agency’s senior official for procurement.
In a 35-page document addressed to VA Secretary Robert McDonald, the official accuses other agency leaders of “gross mismanagement” and making a “mockery” of federal acquisition laws that require competitive bidding and proper contracts.
