Dozens of homeless New Yorkers and advocates rallied on the steps of city hall this afternoon to single out and condemn the NY Post’s recurring portrayal of the homeless as dehumanized, quality-of-life case studies, as well as the Sergeants Benevolent Association’s recent public solicitation of photographs of homeless people engaging in “quality-of-life offenses of every type.”

“We’re here today because we’re disgusted by the treatment of homeless people in our city,” said Alyssa Aguilera, the Political Director for Vocal New York. “We’re tired of the criminalization and stigmatization of homeless people who are struggling, and need housing, and who need social services. Instead they are being targeted by the police.”   Continue reading “Homeless New Yorkers Protest Police Stigmatization”

The paradox in the question of who wins in a currency war presupposes that any participating combatant can actually claim victory. If winning means ending up with the most cash, when the value of the money as a store of tangible wealth is debased, it is doubtful anyone can be declared the victor.  The absurdity of lowering the purchasing power of a countries currency to enable exports to be more competitive is economic sacrilege that the heretical “Free Trade” mythos is based upon. Without a reliable standard of objective comparison, floating currencies maneuver their exchange rates to disguise internal imbalances in their own political and economic expenditures.     Continue reading “Who Wins in a Currency Devaluation War?”

LOS ANGELES — Chanell Temple, a black woman originally from Huntington Park, delivered a strident, politically incorrect speech against illegal immigration on Monday evening at the local city council meeting.

Temple, who now lives in the Hawthorne area of Los Angeles, was protesting the council’s recent decision to appoint two illegal aliens to city commissions. She told Breitbart News she had not intended to speak at the meeting, but was offended when someone compared illegal aliens to slaves. She added that she supports Donald Trump “a hundred percent.”    Continue reading “Woman Rips Council over Illegal Aliens”

When politicians talk about “immigration reform” they mean: amnesty, cheap labor and open borders. The Schumer-Rubio immigration bill was nothing more than a giveaway to the corporate patrons who run both parties.

Real immigration reform puts the needs of working people first – not wealthy globetrotting donors. We are the only country in the world whose immigration system puts the needs of other nations ahead of our own. That must change. Here are the three core principles of real immigration reform:   Continue reading “Donald Trump’s Immigration Plan”

The Truth About the Law – by Legalman

Quick, exactly where in the constitution is the federal government given the power to institute a “draft” for the military? I think that is a pretty important question to be able to answer if we are going to claim we live in a ‘free’ country. Think about what the draft does. It allows p.o.s. politicians to force you to go risk your life in order to keep the entire crooked scheme of government going. The draft can force you to either murder someone or be murdered by someone. That is a pretty damn big power for an entity like government to have.  People say, “but we don’t have a draft so who cares?”  lol, ahh the people really are so easily lulled and duped.  If it is such a non-issue, then why do men still have to sign up for selective service at 18?  hmmm.   Continue reading “Where do the Feds get the right to draft you?”

Almost 2 million people in California and the Midwest live on aquifer sites which have up to 180 times the safe level of uranium, according to a recent study by US researchers.

It took 14 San Francisco Police Department officers to take down and restrain a one-legged, black homeless man, armed with crutches and apparently dangerous. The incident is the latest embarrassment for the US police, who face constant accusations of unreasonable use of force.

The confrontation was captured on video released by journalist Chaedria LaBouvier via blog platform Medium, and shows white police officers taking down a one-legged homeless black man on the city’s central Market street. According to witnesses, police were called in to the scene to take care of a suspicious man waving some “sticks” around.   Continue reading “14 San Francisco cops gang up on homeless man ‘armed’ with crutches”

BANGKOK (AP) — Thai investigators believe a man seen in security video wearing a yellow T-shirt and carrying a backpack set off the bomb at a central Bangkok shrine that killed 20 people and injured more than 100, police said Tuesday.

“The yellow shirt guy is not just the suspect. He is the bomber,” police spokesman Lt. Gen. Prawut Thavornsiri told The Associated Press. Prawut earlier released several photos of the man, with and without the backpack, on social media. The images were apparently taken from closed-circuit video at the Erawan Shrine on Monday evening before the bomb exploded. He confirmed that the man is suspected in the bombing when contacted by The Associated Press.   Continue reading “Police tell AP: Man carrying backpack is Bangkok bomber”

WASHINGTON (AP) — Now that federal investigators have Hillary Rodham Clinton’s homebrew email server, they could examine files on her machine that would be more revelatory than the emails themselves.

Clinton last week handed over to the FBI her private server, which she used to send, receive and store emails during her four years while secretary of state. The bureau is holding the machine in protective custody after the intelligence community’s inspector general raised concerns that classified information had traversed the system.   Continue reading “Probe of Clinton’s server could find more than just emails”

WASHINGTON (AP) — A computer breach at the IRS in which thieves stole tax information from thousands of taxpayers is much bigger than the agency originally disclosed.

An additional 220,000 potential victims had information stolen from an IRS website as part of a sophisticated scheme to use stolen identities to claim fraudulent tax refunds, the IRS said Monday. The revelation more than doubles the total number of potential victims, to 334,000.   Continue reading “IRS: Computer breach bigger than first thought; 334K Victims”
