Scientific evidence has emerged that questioning more is a sign of intelligence.

Researchers at Canada’s University of Waterloo presented their new research paper “On the reception and detection of pseudo-profound bullsh*t”, which revealed that people who find statements like “rejuvenation is a constant, joy requires exploration” to be profound are less intelligent.   Continue reading “Question More: Study shows link between stupidity & bullsh*t”

Due to the giant financial influx provided by Mexican shoppers across the border, Arizona extends special privileges to Mexican nationals who possess a Border Crossing Card, essentially extending the border 75 miles into the state. However, a multi-agency push could extend that imaginary border to cover the entire state of Arizona, allowing roughly 1.2 million Mexican visitors to travel freely throughout the state without having to file an I-94 form.   Continue reading “Group Wants Mexicans with ‘Border Zone’ Privileges to Be Entitled to All of Arizona”

North, SC (WLTX) – For 14 years and through two different mayors, Mark Fallaw was the police chief for the town of North. That career came to an end on December 1 when he resigned, stating issues with the new mayor, Patty Carson.

“For her to be directing procedures that were contrary to national standards, that was going to cause a problem,” said Fallaw. “So I just said it was best for me probably to step down.”   Continue reading “Entire police force quits all at once in South Carolina town”

By now, if you use any form of social media whatsoever, you’ve probably seen the scary “mass shootings map” published by PBS, leading people to believe that they live in a terrifying place and that strict gun control is the only answer. You’ve probably read some of the cries for gun control and the stat of “more than one mass shooting a day” happening in the US. To see this propaganda, you’d think that people walk around with Uzis, randomly opening fire all the time.

But, you see, the map is BS. It’s a big old truckload of baloney sandwiches, steaming in the sun. It’s a manipulation that is being used to frighten people into thinking they’d be safer if none of us had the tools that we need to protect ourselves.   Continue reading “The “Mass Shootings Map” Propaganda Should Convince You to Carry At All Times”

CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — The deep sea hunt for the missing Malaysian airliner has been refocused on the southern reaches of an expansive search zone based on new analysis released on Thursday of the Boeing 777’s final hours and how it might have plunged into the Indian Ocean with 239 people aboard after running out of fuel.

Searchers have been combing a 120,000-square-kilometer (46,000-square-mile) expanse of the Indian Ocean since October last year but have yet to turn up any trace of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. A wing flap found in July on the other side of the Indian Ocean when it washed up on remote Reunion Island is the only debris recovered.   Continue reading “Search for Malaysian jet refocuses in southern Indian Ocean”

JOHANNESBURG (AP) — Oscar Pistorius was convicted of murder on Thursday by a South African appeals court that described the once-glittering story of the double-amputee Olympian and Reeva Steenkamp, the girlfriend he killed in his home in 2013, as “a human tragedy of Shakespearean proportions.”

The Supreme Court of Appeal overturned a lower court’s conviction on the less serious charge of manslaughter, adding another twist to a case that riveted people around the world because of its gripping saga of a celebrity athlete’s plunge from grace by his own hand.   Continue reading “Prison looms for Oscar Pistorius after murder conviction”

Judges rarely side with drivers over the word of a police officer, and the Sixth Circuit US Court of Appeals took action last week to keep it that way. A three-judge appellate panel corrected a lower court judge believed driver Samuel Duane Johnson Jr was more credible than the Michigan State Police troopers who stopped him.   Continue reading “Federal Appeals Court Stops Judge Who Believed Motorist Over A Cop”
