Since the War on Drugs began in earnest under Nixon and Reagan, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) has ruined millions of lives for nonviolent, victimless behavior. The DEA’s drug crusade is not limited to the homeland either, as it also has sole responsibility for pursing international drug investigations.

Bay Area Rapid Transit police say investigators discovered a dead body inside the U-Haul truck that officers saw being pushed by the man involved in a dramatic gunfight with BART police on Friday morning.

One of the officers was shot in the arm, and was later treated and released from Eden Valley Medical Center in Castro Valley. A Maine landlord wants tossed a lawsuit filed by a retired Maine lobsterman who shot an intruder with a gun he bought less than a day earlier for protection against burglars.

The lawsuit had been filed last month by Harvey Lembo, 67. He uses a wheelchair and says he armed himself after five burglaries in six years at his Rockland apartment complex. ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Supreme Court has agreed to review the case of a convicted felon sentenced to five years in prison for possessing a BB gun.

KHOU.com reported investigators are taking a look at surveillance video in the shopping center where the Islamic Society of Greater Houston is located. Houston firefighters responded to the fire around 2:45 p.m. Friday, according toFox 26 Houston. St. Martinville, LA — On Monday, Barbara Noel requested an order for protective custody for her son Michael Noel from a local mental health agency. Michael, who’s diagnosed with bipolar disorder and paranoid schizophrenia, was in the midst of a psychotic episode and needed help. He was not violent.

A Chicago police officer shot and killed two people early Saturday while responding to a domestic dispute call, authorities said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office identified the two killed as Bettie R. Jones, 55, and Quintonio Legrier, 19. Both died at nearby hospitals shortly after the incident, police said. Police are trying to find two men who they say stole 43 propane tanks from two industrial sites in the last week, and have alerted their Homeland Security division as a safety measure.
