Diggerdan’s Memorial Service

Dan’s memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 3rd between 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. at Felland Park in Colfax WI.  I’ve rented a pavilion there.

I have the video and audio arranged for Dan’s service and yours truly will be saying a few words in Dan’s memory. We will record segments to share on the website along with a venture at Dan’s place and one more spot that Dan spent a lot of time enjoying.

The local florist is holding off on assembling the flowers until Monday afternoon.  I’ll be driving to the crematory to get Dan’s ashes.

My son, one of my daughters and granddaughter will be attending.  I don’t expect very many to show up as Dan was such a recluse.  Who knows, I might be surprised hopefully.  Dan’s closest family members reside on our website and the words I will have to say will be towards that family.

As Dan would say all the time,  “Keep the faith Brother”.

  1. Millard, remember that many will be there in spirit if not in person, sorry you are facing such a tough time.I myself will be burying a friend this weekend, per his wishes we last night finished making his coffin in a buddies cabinet shop,a strange but at same time satisfying gig.I know these are tough times but lets remember our friends and family that have moved on are waiting for us on the other side, peace.

  2. Thank you Millard for this info…it just isn’t so that any of us can live forever…Somehow that seems odd, ….although, none of us has the power to change that……Best to you and the rest of Dan’s family….

  3. Millard’ we will truly be there in spirit with you and your family, as I know this is going to be very difficult for you guys. Thank you so much for all that you have done. God bless you and your family.

  4. Milliard I pray for the Lord to give you the strength tomorrow and may blessings shine on you and all of Dan’s friends there and here.

  5. May Dan truly rest in peace! I always enjoyed Dan’s perspectives and input.
Was his illness something that could have been avoided? I’m 2 years older than Dan, and this is scary!

  6. I haven’t commented much on here, lately, but I ALWAYS enjoyed reading Diggerdan’s commentary and perspective. I know he was a great man. May perpetual light shine upon him! 🙂

  7. Millard, God bless you all and thank you for your beautiful post. Dan’s memory will live on. He is a great American patriot . He touched the lives of many people, including those of us that come here to the Trenches.

  8. Thanks Millard. I will keep an eye out of the clip and will be with you and Dan in spirit. Keep the faith, brother. Also had some flowers arranged to be sent on Tuesday (tomorrow) to that funeral home you posted earlier. God Bless!

  9. Millard the miles are many for me thus I cannot attend Dan’s ceremony. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and all that attend and all that cannot attend. May we all through this tradgedy draw closer together and appreciate and love each other more. Thank you for being there for Dan and being his good friend and brother.

  10. Dan was blessed to have a good friend like you, Millard. Thank you for all you’ve done for him.
