A U.S. official said the Obama administration considered but rejected deploying military force under the directive during the recent standoff with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and his armed supporters.
I can guarantee you that there is a contingency to use the military against Bundy, if the feds and the militia on the scene mix it up…

A 2010 Pentagon directive on military support to civilian authorities details what critics say is a troubling policy that envisions the Obama administration’s potential use of military force against Americans.
The directive contains noncontroversial provisions on support to civilian fire and emergency services, special events and the domestic use of the Army Corps of Engineers.
The troubling aspect of the directive outlines presidential authority for the use of military arms and forces, including unarmed drones, in operations against domestic unrest.

Is there some way you can legitimately guarantee this, Mr. Wales? Or are you just trying to dissuade militia volunteers from going there?
Unleashing the military at Bundy Ranch risks immediate nation-wide uprisings, and will only increase the number of people joining militias around the country. It would make the tyranny too obvious to hide at that point, causing the Feds to lose the little support they have left. It would also put an end to their resource theft and profits, and that fact would make me think it’s the last thing they’d do.
The Feds are always forced to proceed cautiously, because dong anything that neuters their ability to present plausible arguments that justify their actions will put an end to their money-grabbing schemes.
And where would they get the troops? They’re struggling to recruit anyone they can to fight the countless wars we’re already engaged in, including enlisting the illegal aliens, and any mercenary they can hire.
Oklahoma alone has offered 50,000 troops to assist in the Bundy Ranch operations, and people are ready to fight in all fifty states.
And we have all of this support while most militiamen are still trying to support their families by working for a living. As soon as they bring in the military people will be quitting their jobs to fight for freedom on a full-time basis.
If they bring in the military anywhere in this country, the game is over and they know it, so I would guess that it’s the LAST thing they’ll do.
