Target: Miami-Dade Police Department

Miami-Dade police officers violently choked and pinned fourteen-year-old Tremaine McMillan because of his demeanor — he was unarmed and wasn’t posing any threat.
McMillan was just feeding his puppy and playing on the beach when officers came up to him on ATVs. They said that his “roughhousing” was “unacceptable” and asked where his mother was. He was taking the officers to his mother when they jumped him. Along with McMillan, his puppy was injured as well.
McMillan was charged with resisting arrest, a felony, and disorderly conduct. This is ridiculous — please tell Miami-Dade Police Department to drop felony charges against McMillan!
No.. don’t drop the charges. Let the judge dismiss it so the kid’s mom has a shot at a lawsuit. Hiring idiots for the police force should cost Dade County some money.
Hi Angel. I signed the petition. Hey Jolly, I’m sure his mom can sue regardless of any criminal charges. She would be suing in Civil court for damages and violation of civil rights. So that’s two separate issues…criminal and civil. Think OJ trial…he was aquitted of criminal charges but was still sued in Civil court where he lost.
🙂
This shit really needs to stop. Where were the neighbors while this was going on? Oh yea, probably HIDING in their houses because “IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH” in an Orwellian world!
Wake up, people!! Get together and fight back!! The time to fight is NOW!!! Stop submitting and start resisting or be forever branded as coward throughout the rest of your life and history to come. FIGHT BACK! FIGHT BACK! FIGHT BACK!
Surprised this didn’t happen in NY or LA.
