Feds: Clarks Summit man emailed Obama death threat

Citizens Voice – by Katie Sullivan

A Clarks Summit man sent an email to the White House threatening to kill President Obama a week before his visit to Scranton, the authorities said Thursday.

Nicholas Savino, 42, called Obama the “Anti-Christ” and said he would be “shot dead” if he did not stop “breaking the constitution,” federal prosecutors said in a news release announcing Savino’s indictment.

Savino is charged with threatening to kill the president and transmitting a threatening communication across state lines.

Clarks Summit police and the Lackawanna County SWAT Team served a warrant and seized ammunition and weapons from Savino’s home on behalf of the Secret Service on Aug. 23, the day of President Obama’s visit to Northeast Pennsylvania.

Clarks Summit police Chief Joe Laguzzi said a man was taken into custody Aug. 22, the day before the warrant was served on the home.

If convicted, Savino could face a maximum of five years in prison, supervised release and a fine.

  1. The crime here is that the commie isn’t already dangling from a noose on the whitehouse lawn after being tried and convicted for high treason, materially supporting the enemy during the course of an active war….Al -CIA-duh in Syria.
