Well, I am an engineer and as much as I would like to see more women in this field, I sadly have to say, forget about it. Of the few women in my field, Controls Engineering, I have yet to meet one worth her salt. For some reason, women just don’t get it. Whether it be how sensors or vision systems work, how to program in Structured Text or Ladder, theory of machine operation, tuning servo systems, sizing servo systems, something is missing from their comprehension. I even had one woman with a degree in ME from MIT and she is lost in the woods. I am sure there must be some good women engineers, but I have yet to meet one.
