Former Mayor Pleads Guilty to Raping 4-Year-Old

Freedom Outpost – by Tim Brown

In September 2016, I reported on former Democrat mayor of Hubbard, Ohio Richard Keenan’s admitted rape of a 4-year-old girl.  On Friday, Keenan changed his plea in court to guilty on 20 counts of sex crimes, including eight counts of rape.

We previously reported:

Keenan, who served as Hubbard mayor in 2010 and 2011, was indicted last month on eight counts of rape and 12 counts of attempted rape and gross sexual imposition. A rape conviction carries a sentence of life in prison.

According to the filing by Assistant Prosecutor Gabriel Wildman, Keenan, 65, made the admissions to his wife, a pastor, a social worker and his brother and sister-in-law.

Wildman’s filing states that when Keenan’s wife, Diana, heard about the assaults from the child, “upon confronting [her husband] about the allegations, [Keenan] responded, ‘I did it.'”

The filing states Keenan also admitted sexual abuse during “group discussions” while he was in the ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital psychiatric ward.

According to court documents, Keenan began to abuse the then-four-year-old little girl in 2013.

At the time of the writing of the previous article, Keenan was suicidal and questions were raised as to whether or not his wife and pastor would be able to testify against him due to the Ohio Rules of Evidence, which state that a spouse is considered “competent to be a witness if the testifying spouse elects to testify.”  Additionally, the Ohio Revised Coder says that the pastor cannot be compelled to testify if “the confession or confidential communication was made directly to the cleric.”

By way of the plea deal, Keenan will be sentenced to life in prison rather than facing a death penalty, which would be just.  However, he will also be eligible for parole in just ten years!

The prosecution calls that a “good result.”

“It gives the victim some closure. Obviously, keeps this young child from having to testify and I think it’s a good result given all the facts and circumstances,” said Assistant Prosecutor Gabe Wildman.

Wildman claims that their responsibility is to do what’s best for the victim and claims they accomplished that.

Actually, that’s not what their responsibility is.  Their responsibility is to bring justice upon evil doers.  Was justice administered here?  Is caging a man like an animal and holding people’s property and livelihood hostage in order to feed, clothe and house a man that confessed to raping a 4-year-old justice?  If so, how so?  By what standard are you determining justice?

For many, they will get all easy going on me here and point to Jesus.  However, listen to the words of Jesus:

Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe to stumble, it would be better for him if, with a heavy millstone hung around his neck, he had been cast into the sea. -Mark 9:42

That’s what Jesus said one should do to themselves.  The Old Testament law was just as clear as Jesus’ words in this matter (Deuteronomy 22).  Now, instead of bringing justice on Mr. Keenan, in ten years, he will be eligible to be free and possibly carry out the same crime again.  This time, it may be your child.

Keenan is one of many caught engaging in pedophilia.  As we reported earlier, Since President Donald Trump took office, more than 1,500 busts concerning human sex trafficking have taken place and Attorney General Jeff Sessions has warned that more pedophile investigations are about to begin.  All of that is good news, as long as we also investigate and indict those members of the FBI who were engaged in the criminal distribution of child pornography while using it as bait to catch those who viewed it.

  1. a heavy millstone hung around his neck would be the least of his worries if it was my child. just saying

  2. “Now, instead of bringing justice on Mr. Keenan, in ten years, he will be eligible to be free and possibly carry out the same crime again.”

Not unless he’s PC’d for the entire sentence.

Child rapists are the LEAST favored among & by the inmates in prison.

Being an ex-politician is a big bonus too.
