Greg Abbott calls for drug testing of 4 year olds

Bay Area Houston – by John Coby

Yesterday Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott, held a press conference in the Spring Branch Independent School District. SBISD is one of many districts (including CCISD) that has filed suit against the State of Texas for inadequate school funding. Abbott is defunding the schools and defending the State. Awkward!

But Abbott stunned everyone when he announced his support of standard testing and drug testing of 4 year olds. Abbott’s staff was quick to defend his position:

“Greg Abbott believes pre-K education should receive more money only if they meet a “Gold Standard” of testing and the taxpayer must be confident these 4 year olds are drug free. We cannot afford to educate kids in Texas, even though Texas ranks 46th in the nation in Pre-K, when they are on performance enhancing drugs.”

Teachers and parents were also quick to condemn Abbott:

“Trying to get a great education in Greg Abbott’s Texas will be like buying a lottery ticket. You win if you’re one of the few who get pre-K or get placed in a special program,” said Texas Association of Educators President Knose Blough.
“I think we ought to drug test Greg Abbott. What idiot would defend $5 billion in cuts, less pay for women, defend medical malpractice butchers, and call for 4 year olds to pee in a cup?”

Abbott defended his policy by stating “4 year olds do not put crayons up their noses for nothing. There is more to this than meets the eye and I will not take this sitting down.”

  1. Something tells me that there is more to this story than we’re getting in this clip – (?) – it just can’t be all about 4 yr olds, putting crayons up their noses!

    1. “All parents with children attending our school must submit a urine sample to keep us all safe from drug using terrorists. You can fill out your mandatory gun registration forms while your there.”

  2. Greg Abbott’s a moron, so I have to assume he rose to his position in our government in the usual manner.

Don’t let him anywhere near the kids.

  3. I thought this had to be satire, and I looked again at the article’s title and the linked source – nope, this the real Abbott. He must have something reeaaallly sordid in his recent past to be making such idiot decisions and statements.

  4. Don’t tell me–Abbott (channeling Costello no doubt) is saying all this because he wants all parents in Texas to homeschool their kids…

  5. “Abbott defended his policy by stating “4 year olds do not put crayons up their noses for nothing. There is more to this than meets the eye and I will not take this sitting down.”

    He can’t be serious.

    Further proof that insanity abounds.

  6. Like I said the other day, tell Abbott that he and his friend Costello can go back home and do their comedy skit there and leave the important stuff for the adults. What a joke. I don’t know who’s dumber. Him or Perry.

Seriously, do all of these politicians just come into this world with shit already in their brains or are they just raised that way?

      1. Exactly Angel dang it 🙂 🙂 Yea Angel I got cut off the phone just to let ya know dangit. them POS PTB F them… But I Love ya Angel !!
