Gun owners respond to Walmart and Kroger gun policy change

WVVA

MERCER COUNTY, W.Va. (WVVA) As mass shootings become more and more commonplace, Walmart and Kroger are both changing their policies regarding  guns.

Walmart is no longer selling ammunition for hand guns and short-barrel rifles, requesting customers to refrain from openly carrying firearms including ‘open carry’ states.

Kroger has followed suit, also requesting customers to not openly carry weapons inside of their grocery chains.

Some people are applauding the stores, with one local resident openly saying “Thank you Walmart,” on our WVVA Facebook page.

But for some gun owners, they’re expressing major concerns.

Randy Duncan is a Mercer County resident and has been a legal gun owner for over 30 years.

Duncan says regardless of any gun policy, in ‘constitutional carry states, he’s keeping his gun by his side.

“Lock me up first and give me three meals a day,” said Duncan. “I’m disabled and can’t defend myself and you don’t know who’s out there anymore. It’s alright to carry this gun and leave us alone.”

Kenneth Sifford is also a gun owner and says he and his wife are on opposite ends of the gun debate.

“She believes there’s no place in America for assault riffles,” sad Sifford. “I think there should be tighter checks but I will never be for banning them.”

Some people side with Sifford’s wife, with an NBC correspondent stating, “Those [assault riffles] are weapons of war and they should not be found on our streets.”

The National Riffle Association released this statement, condemning Walmart:

“The strongest defense of freedom has always been our free-market economy. It is shameful to see Walmart succumb to the pressure of the anti-gun elites. Lines at Walmart will soon be replaced by lines at other retailers who are more supportive of America’s fundamental freedoms. The truth is Walmart’s actions today will not make us any safer. Rather than place the blame on the criminal, Walmart has chosen to victimize law-abiding Americans. Our leaders must be willing to approach the problems of crime, violence and mental health with sincerity and honesty.” NRA

The biggest question from many residents, how Walmart and Kroger will enforce their conceal request in ‘right to carry’ states.

  1. I go to the smaller chain stores
I don’t spend any money at these places
I’m obviously not wanted by them, and the feeling is mutual
I’ve been packing everywhere I’ve gone over the past 20 some years or more , mind you concealed
But I still pay attention to who acts like this and refuse to support it

Wow what a pro gun stance. Look at how these communist always try to frame the discussion. Guess they call them cuckservatives for a reason. They’re sneaky rats until you start to catch on to how they operate. We are done talking. My stance shall not be infringed.

    Unchallenged, bozo.

They DON’T belong on ‘our streets’, maggot… they belong in the hands of patriots.

So they can shoot traitors like you with them.

  4. Yes, it’s true, the zio-american government and the zio-media is trying to disarm America, just as they have done in other countries (like the Soviet Union and Palestine). And yes, history teaches us that disarmament always precedes genocide or democide. With the talmuds trying to destroy every white human (except for themselves, of course) via the Kalergi Plan, this appears to be just another part of the one world government the talmuds are lusting after so desperately. Screw them.

My suggestion? If you own guns, or if you value your own self sufficiency, freedoms and independence, NEVER surrender your guns and NEVER support gun control laws, red flag laws, or gun confiscation laws. This is the same message we got from the Aussies after they were disarmed. You can hide your guns or not flaunt them, but keep them.

And we should tell the government wankers who try to disarm us to go phuq themselves.

    1. This isn’t about race. The Georgia Guidestones say the international elite want the world population at 500 million. That would have to include a lot of people of color.
As for not flaunting, f-k these f-king communists, we will exercise our 2nd Article right openly and freely and to the extreme that it is intended for. We will not budge one f-king inch and we are the largest armed force to ever exist on this planet.

when push comes to shove you will push your man right out in front …bitch!
