Gunman killed after shooting two police officers in New York

Press TV

A suspect has been shot dead by police in the United States in a shootout that left two police officers injured.

The shooting took place in Troy, New York on Saturday night when the two officers were investigating an attempted carjacking, Capt. Dan DeWolf with Troy police told reporters.

One of the officers who arrived first at the scene saw a man that fitted the description of the carjacker and called for backup and the second officer reported to the scene.

The two policemen then approached the suspect who opened fire on them and shot officer Joshua Comitale in leg. Chad Klein, the second officer, was also shot in torso, DeWolf said.

The officers returned fire and shot the gunman who later died in the hospital.

The cops were then taken to a local hospital and were expected to live.

A handgun was recovered from the scene and police are not looking for any other suspects, DeWolf said.

A report by the Washington Post that was published earlier in August noted that police in the United States have shot dead 601 people across the country in the first eight months of 2015.

    LOL… fitted?

“The two policemen then approached the suspect who opened fire on them…”
“The cops were then taken to a local hospital and were expected to live.”

According to the pigs (always a credibility issue there), he fired first. In a situation such as this, if you don’t make every round lethal (or at least incapacitating), then you can expect to die, with nothing to show for it.

    loser
