      1. I use the POM juice you can get at any local food mart ( its not cheap but its dam good and you are worth it) sometimes i can find the actual “Indian apple” pomegranate fruit , if so i juice it instead

I go a little heavy on the Q1800.. or if i have some more expensive tequila i still dont scrimp , I also dont do ice .. it dilutes the tequila ( i like the burn)

basically mix it the same way you would any other mixer , and level it out to your taste with the amount of tequila you like ( do yourself a solid , buy and drink only good tequila , the cheap stuff taste like crap if you ask me and gets you sick or bad hang over )

          1. Thanks, EOTS, with you in spirit!!

Pomegranates are the funnest fruit. Like a party in a pouch.

            🙂

        1. Thanks EoftS. I recently learned 100% agave is the only way to go. I called the local liquor store & asked them about the Codido Tequila & that I was looking to make margaritas. Her first response was, NO, don’t use that in margaritas, sip this one and enjoy it on its own. For the price, don’t waste it in a margarita, says she. So she recommended some other tequilas that are quite good without a price that will not break our account.

I love pomegranates & may try this mix on a different occasion. Tomorrow night though I’ll stick with the traditional lime flavor, for it is this sour flavor my craving is for. You know, salted rim & all.

          1. Geez, you guys, cut it out. You’re making my mouth water. I just may have to show up at your doorstep.

            🙂

          2. my sister and brother in law retired to Fredericksburg TX after living in the cold wasteland for many years around chitcago…..my brother in law is now realizing his goal of being in business for himself….he and his son opened their Iron Goat Distillery in the fall of 2018….one of their products is agave tequila and from what my sister says is getting very good praises from the bars/ restaurants in town…..I have not yet had the opportunity to get down there and try it!

  1. Raising a glass to all Trenchers. A beautiful weekend to all, even in the midst of tyrannical insanity – steal some moments.

  2. Have at it, folks.

I haven’t had ANY hard liquor in a couple decades now. The last 2 times I did, I woke up the next day literally feeling as if I’d been poisoned.

I just picked up something FAR more interesting anyway… some old-school bubble hash, and at a screaming good price – $12 a gr.

So I’ll raise a bowl, or I’ll raise a joint… but beer (only GOOD BEER) is the strongest alcohol I can handle anymore.

    1. ‘but beer (only GOOD BEER) is the strongest alcohol I can handle anymore.’…..I hear ya #1…..I plan only to take a sip or two when I get down to Fredericksburg 🙂

    1. they do tastings at the liquor stores ….the bars and restaurants have to get their liquor from the liquor stores (because that’s the way the mafia works) …..perhaps they would head out your way for a tasting…you are about 2 hours away ….your local liquor store can contact them for more info https://www.irongoatdistillery.com/ if it happens I’ll let you know and you can show up for a tasting! or two 🙂

        1. their distributor (middle man mafia guy) is out of Houston….he will deliver to san antonio, fredericksburg and probably austin area…. my sister said you will have to do a weekend getaway to fredericsburg….lol…tourist town so many bars restaurants and all kinds of music…live bands….

          1. 🙂 I play it occasionally (texas two step lottery) lol btw galen, the book is supposed to be there by monday
