CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – A local member of law enforcement is now facing multiple charges, including pepper spraying an infant.
Charles Edelen is now charged with aggravated battery, criminal recklessness and domestic battery.
Edelen is a reserve police officer for the city of Clarksville and is also a Clarksville firefighter.
The court records show that on Tuesday night in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Edelen was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife and the father of her child.
Authorities said that Edelen pepper sprayed the child’s father and the child and at one point Edelen had a gun in his hand.
Edelen has bonded out of jail.
According to the Supremes the law doesn’t mean what it says. Does this apply here? I’ll say no more.
