Other Jewish gangsters on the list have also famously inspired characters in film and television. Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel, for example, is often credited with the creation of syndicate casinos and Las Vegas, and was portrayed by Warren Beatty in the motion picture Bugsy. Additionally, Frank “Lefty” Rosenthal inspired the Robert De Niro character Sam “Ace” Rothstein in Martin Scorsese’s Casino.
