Talk about oppression. I was eating at a restaurant in town with my daughter after an afternoon of father/daughter fishing and talking. Two Barney Fife’s walk in and arrest this guy because it was 2nd offence with a canoe too long in his pickup truck. They didn’t cuff him but he went for a ride just as his food had arrived. His buddy paid the tab, got it “to go” and went to get his friend out. Everyone in the restaurant was shocked. I think I may have heard a couple swear words in reference to the cops from the patrons when the show was over. His food arrived as they were putting him in the car. Great police work boys. I did look at the canoe as we left, it was overkill on the tie down. It’s wonderful to feel so safe in my home town!
Unless they’re so well ‘programmed’ that they don’t even realize they’re oppressed.
