Mexico warns of ‘deep concern’ over armed groups on U.S. border

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Mexico said on Saturday it had “deep concern” about armed groups that intimidate and extort migrants on the border, shortly after the ACLU and Democratic senators called for a probe into such citizen efforts to block migrants from crossing.

“These types of practices can drive human rights abuses of people who migrate or request asylum or refuge in the United States,” Mexico’s Foreign Relations Ministry said in a statement, referring to “militia groups” in New Mexico.

It added that patrols “on the margins” of the law create risks for the safety of migrants.

On Thursday, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of New Mexico condemned the United Constitutional Patriots, which patrols the southern U.S. border in New Mexico, as a “fascist militia organization” operating outside the law.

The group has posted videos showing members dressed in camouflage and armed with semi-automatic rifles holding groups of migrants, many Central American families seeking asylum, until U.S. Border Patrol agents arrive.

The small volunteer group says it is helping the Border Patrol deal with a surge in undocumented migrants at the southern border. U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration has toughened various policies and put pressure on Mexico in an attempt to discourage people from attempting to cross into the United States illegally.

Along with the ACLU, New Mexico Democratic senators Martin Heinrich and Tom Udall also called for an investigation into the border group.

“Threatening innocent children and families fleeing violence and seeking asylum is unacceptable and flies in the face of our values as a state and a nation,” they said in a joint statement on Twitter on Friday.

  1. Mexicans are NEVER good neighbors never will be they are less than half civilized, filth worth nothing but another fight to the death.
give them HELL on Earth !

  2. Mexico, mind the business of your own failed state that is the cause of so many leaving and bringing their misery here all your guests from other countries seek only to pass through to get here so Shut the F up

      1. Are you implying “legal” and LAW are the same thing?

If so, you’ve come to the right place for a lesson in the difference. You even know what a “citizen” is?

He’s not defending invaders, he’s pointing out the stupidity of “oath-keepers” believing that keeping the oath is what the so-called govt ever would support such a promise.

Have military or cops EVER defended their “oaths” and upheld the Bill of Rights?

        1. It may be “legal” but everything they are doing is UNLAWFUL. There’s a difference. Btw, we aren’t citizens, we are American Nationals… Anyways I knew this would happen. Anyone trying to stop this invasion will be dealt with as the enemy.

  3. This Sh#*t hole country would not have to worry if they fixed their own problems so their populace were not all trying to escape the S hole they are and the foreigners to their country are always just passing through to get to a place better called the USA . We are trying to prevent the degradation of our country to being like the one they are escaping!

  4. “Intimidate and extort”? Why would we do that to an invading hoard? Light them up and leave the bodies to rot in the sun. The stench will be so bad, the rest will stop coming. End of problem.

    1. Re: defending the border…

Honest question: How do we know when something authentic shows up? What would be the indicators?

I mean, just say there were 200 guys who were hell-bent on stopping the invasion and decided they were going down there to do something about it… How would we recognize an earnest effort? Is it about immediately instituting The Common Law on the premises and proceeding from there? Or is it aim and shoot?

Well, I hope I don’t get shot for asking about this. I’m only trying to figure it out.

      .

      1. I can’t say for sure, but I know nothing within 150 miles of that border that is authentic will be allowed. A real militia force would be engaged with the United States Corporation right at the 150 mile mark.
        Best I can do.

        1. I think you nailed it Henry. It’s what they do once they get down there.

The yellow vests are dealing with similar traitors. Guess that comes with these survival games. Infiltration has so many disguises.

Well, the water is rising. Will be interesting to see who swims where and along side of whom. The Bill of Rights is the life raft. I appreciate you tossin’ it out, FREQUENTLY.

          🙂

  5. F- Mexico it is an Act of War for Mexico to allow and AID Invading columns to transit Mexico’s territory to Invade US. Bomb the living Shit out of Mexico’s capitol. until they stop …. bomb bomb bomb

    1. “Pentagon and Department of Homeland Security officials demanded an explanation from the Mexican government.”

Oh yeah, that’s the appropriate response. Geez!!!

Well, on another note… Here is some sweet distraction.

Little Kid, 8, Made Fun Of Ocasio Cortez Stupidity In The Most Epic Way:

    1. Number one, they are not immigrants, they are f-king invaders.
Number two, there are no proper channels as the United States Corporation is a fraudulent crime cabal and has zero authority to hand over anything that belongs to we American nationals to ANY foreign national.
Whenever they bring in a foreign national a portion that belongs to we individual free sovereign nationals of the united States of the Americas, is taken from we individual free sovereign nationals of the united States of the Americas without the due process of the law in the common law jurisdiction, which is the only lawful jurisdiction ratified by we the people. It is indeed a violation of the 9th Article of our Bill of Rights, which is absolute ratified law before it was ever attached to that constitution.
We either repel this invasion or we spit on the graves of our true founders, that is the American nationals that fought to free themselves and their progeny from subjugation by a king who could take anything that belonged to the subject or the subject him or herself, and dispose of his property however he wished.
