As a heavy band of snow hit northeast Ohio, crews in Lake County arrived on scene to respond to a multiple-vehicle crash on Interstate 90, according to FOX 8. Police are reporting fatalities, but there is no word on how many people were killed.
“Areas of heavy lake-effect snow have been pivoting across northeastern Ohio through the day on Wednesday,” said weather.com meteorologist Quincy Vagell. “This prompted the National Weather Service to issue a lake effect snow advisory for snow covered roads and low visibility, making traffic difficult, including I-90 in the vicinity.”
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the collision involving more than 15 semi-trailers and multiple vehiclestook place on I-90 near Vrooman Road. Fatalities and injuries have been reported and injured parties are being transported to area hospitals.
According to WKYC, more than 20 cars were involved in the pile-up.

At least one person was ejected from their vehicle and trapped underneath another, Lake County Sheriff Daniel Dunlap told FOX 8 News.
The accident has closed lanes in both directions and a makeshift triage station had to be opened, reports WKYC.
Both east and west lanes between Route 258 and Route 615 have been shut down, reports the Madison Fire District. I-90 from Route 44 to Route 615 has been reopened, however the highway remains closed between Route 44 and Route 528.
I-90 westbound at state Route 615 remains closed, while I-90 eastbound has reopened at 5 p.m., reports WKYC. Safety forces expect the westbound lanes to remain closed until 7:30 at the latest.

This is why I hate snow.
Other than it being nasty cold, that is.
Hey, Angel! 🙂
Haven’t seen you much lately… 🙁
Hey, #1! 😀
Between VA appointments and the City (DHCR) forcing my a$$hole landlord to FINALLY do maintenance on this 1914 Apt., I’ve been a bit worn out. However, I’m still here. 😉 🙂
Where’s Mark?
Is he OK and out of this BS storm?
I was thinking of him when I saw this story (while checking our local weather). I don’t think they have been sending him on runs through that area, but I’m not sure (esp. after seeing the photos that he sent from PA). I pray that he is nowhere near there.
