Published on Jun 7, 2019

On the night of June 6, 2019, around 10:30PM, Norfolk Southern westbound intermodal train 25z struck a vehicle at Main Street in Swanton, Ohio before derailing at milepost 307. Ed, a local resident, allowed us special access to his property so that we could film some of the aftermath. Norfolk Southern’s Chicago Line sees roughly 70 freight trains per day between Toledo and Elkhart, Indiana. We will keep you updated throughout the day as more information comes forward.

  1. They’re not replacing bad track. Doesnt take much for a derail. Engineer probably going too fast for track.

This sort of thing starts happening in a economy going to hell.

    Again, greed…

What kind of an idiot would live that close to active tracks??? MORON..

BTW A CAR STUCK ON TRACKS WOULDNT HAVE DONE SHIT TO THIS TRAIN DOING 60 MPH.
