The Obama administration has warned states to comply with federal efforts to resettle Syrian refugees in communities around the U.S. or else find their states subject to enforcement action.
In a letter this week, the Office of Refugee Resettlement threatens states concerned about resettling Syrians with punitive responses if they refuse to accept the refugees. ORR explains that states may not refuse ORR-funded benefits for refugees on the basis of religion and national origin.
“Accordingly, states may not categorically deny ORR-funded benefits and services to Syrian refugees,” ORR Director Robert Carey wrote in the letter. “Any state with such a policy would not be in compliance with the State Plan requirements, applicable statutes, and their own assurances, and could be subject to enforcement action, including suspension and termination.”
The agency also pointed to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, prohibiting discrimination for federally funded assistance benefits. Refugees are immediately eligible for welfare and other benefits upon admission to the U.S.
“Thus, it is not permissible to deny federally funded benefits such as Medicaid or [Temporary Assistance for Needy Families] to refugees who otherwise meet the eligibilities requirements,” the letter reads. “ORR is committed to ensuring that all refugees receive assistance and services vital to achieving their potential in the United States and becoming self-sufficient, integrated members of our communities.”
ORR acknowledged in its letter the concerns dozens of governors and lawmakers have raised about the potential for terrorist to infiltrate the refugee process, be placed in their states, and threaten their constituents.
“ORR is aware that state and local leaders, including some governors, have expressed concern about the resettlement of Syrian refugees in their states. In light go these concerns, we note that the resettlement process begins with the work of our federal agency partners in screening and vetting refugees,” Carey wrote.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) slammed the Obama administration for its aggressive stance toward concerned states.
“While the United States has the most generous refugee system in the world, the American people are rightly concerned about admitting Syrian refugees and the impact it would have on the safety of their families and neighbors,” Goodlatte said in a statement. “In light of these concerns, the majority of state governors have taken positions that reflect the views of their residents.”
He further criticized the administration as “hypocritical” for threatening states that might not comply with refugee resettlement while turning a blind eye to sanctuary cities — that refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement.
“….the Office of Refugee Resettlement threatens states concerned about resettling Syrians with punitive responses if they refuse to accept the refugees.”
Where the hell did the Office of Refugee Resettlement come from, and who granted them the authority to punish any state, or any person?
I hope we go to all-out war over this nonsense, and I hope these Syrian rapists get killed off along with the wetbacks.
The states could punish the FedGov by just retaining all funds (taxes) normally collected and forwarded to D.C. The parasites working at “agencies” could leave to pursue other interests, like finding an honest job.
In fact, the States have every right to refuse. They are sovereign and have only submitted to interstate commerce to be advocated by the pieces of shit in DC. I have found that legal wording such as “Enforcement Action” is a load of shit and only used to sound scary. When you stop playing their game you quickly find there is very little power that the courts or the government has. So the States may face losing some of our tax dollars, who cares. The states should be collecting the income tax anyhow, not the feds. Just because the shit bags in DC run up a tab with the UN doesn’t mean that we are financially liable. Let them pay it. The States should retain the tax dollars and pay into the feds for only what benefits the States. Apparently the tards in office of each state are not familiar with the definition of “State”. It Does Not mean subjugation to a central entity.
Correction:
No one should be collecting (stealing) labor from anyone under any circumstance.
Remember, america prospered with no income tax,
or usurious federal ‘jew’ central rothschild bank system. It was only after the ‘jewish’ infestation of all american institutions began did the nation begin to circle the toilet bowl.

“Refugees are immediately eligible for welfare and other benefits upon admission to the U.S.”
I never signed any contract to allow such.
One of these days (as I commented on a similar post yesterday, regarding the Act of 1871 which “claims” the US is a corporation and states “must obey” the CEO, “President” Obama–which is BS, since FedGov has already violated the corporate “contract” many times and thus the “contract” is null and void!), state governors and legislatures will figure out that the “corporation” is null and void…as for some states, say, Texas, which contributes far more to FedGov than it gets back, let FedGov cut off all funding since Texas has one of the world’s largest economies anyway…who knows? Maybe all the illegals on welfare will get the heck out of Texas! Good riddance!
The states Governors CAN refuse them as potential security of the state’s population. Unless the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) has an undefeatable method of tracking these individuals, deny them admission & benefits.
The states can also limit assistance to government reimbursed benefits only. Add that anyone having pictures taken by the state can’t be wearing a burka, have their face covered, women will be expected to have their state issued driver’s licenses within 6 months of arrival and all resettled will have a legitimate state ID within 48 hours of arrival or be subject to removal. Those being resettled will also sign an acknowledgement that only US Laws are governing authority or not being admitted to a state.
A bit harsh? Yeah, under today’s standards, but not under that of 2-3 generations ago. Status for admission then was to assimilate into the population with US Citizenship being the end goal.

ARREST THE FEDS!!!! That should be the order of the day in the states. State governers would find a lot of help in the population for that sort of thing. A governer can sommon the militia. The general order call up would go somthing like this:
Phone call received for [ mail head of household] to bring his rifle and amunition, two canteens of water, food for one week and report to local city hall for further instructions.
Fill in the blank on the rest.
