National Review – by Joel Gehrke
Religious institutions could be at risk of losing their tax-exempt status due to their beliefs about marriage if the Supreme Court holds that gay couples have a constitutional right to wed, President Obama’s attorney acknowledged to the Supreme Court today.
“It’s certainly going to be an issue,” Solicitor General Donald Verrilli replied when Justice Samuel Alito asked if schools that support the traditional definition of marriage would have to be treated like schools that once opposed interracial marriage. “I don’t deny that.”
Alito was continuing a line of questioning started by Chief Justice John Roberts.
“Would a religious school that has married housing be required to afford such housing to same-sex couples?” Roberts had asked.
Verrilli tried to defer to the states on that point, but Roberts pressed him about the significance of the court’s ruling as it might pertain to federal law.
“There is no federal law now generally banning discrimination based on sexual orientation, and that’s where those issues are going to have to be worked out,” he said.

How about this,
You govt turds do what u want, take the tax exempt from Religious Institutions and groups,
THEN
We who care join with them and PURGE ALL SITTING JUSTICES ALL SITTING CONGRESSMEN AND THE PRESIDENT AND ABOLISH EVERY LAST ALPHABET AGENCY….
Sounds fair to me.
Stuff it
Purge all sitting justices congressmen and president all sounds well and good but a voting booth will NEVER accomplish that and neither will the corrupted courts we have now. To think that voting is going to make things better ever is a pipe dream! Nothing short of another Revolution like the first one only bigger will ever stop these traitors in control now. What part of this country has been sold out is so hard to understand? Some even still believe their votes count and that there are really 2 parties, that total BS too.
Who said anything about a voting booth or a court,,
In case you missed the direction of the post we are far far beyond ever voting or litigating this right, some things need to be repaired with blood.
I said something about the voting booth and courts and that is what most people in this country would think was the way to PURGE these traitors out of office. I think if you will read my post one more time you will see that I said nothing short of a revolution will ever change this, and it wont.Man you are thin skinned if my post upset you at all. What I said is all true and there are a lot of folks that don’t see things like we do and they do think that the voting booth will be able to PURGE these criminals out and it never will,NEVER! This country is toast if it don’t grow a set of balls and at this point its not looking very good.

So the ‘Supreme Court’ seeks to supersede the Supreme Being?
Luck with that.
The churches that stand to lose their 501(c)(3) status may as well go along with the so-called ‘government’ program anyway.
They’re not true Christian churches, they’re ALREADY corrupted, so what’s the point in refusing.
The God of my understanding doesnt live between four walls, nor does he take attendence and collect dues,
The Lord Jesus Christ would toss out most of the pastors of most churches,
No argument on that, Kulafarmer.
Apostasy abounds.
Only sheeple go to 501c3 churches anyways, if you even call them churches. Many of them look more like a lecture hall on a college campus. It’s an insult to God and all believers.

Agreed!
A ‘no-brainer’, NC. 😉
Marriage is and always has been a religious institution until recently.
It used to be the church that would marry people. It was unthinkable to allow a
‘government’ dictate those term because it was religious. And religion is none of the ‘governments’ business.
Why does anyone even listen to these ass-clowns anymore?
What this is really about is the divide and conquer strategy employed by the ‘jews’ to evaporate family bonds and make people feel naked and alone.
Slaves are easy to control if they feel alone, destitute and hopeless.

Absolutely agreed, flek.
