The Lonely ConservativeFederal officials showed up at a resort hotel in Grand Island, NY looking for a place to house some of the illegal immigrant children flooding across our border due to “misperceptions” of Obama administration policies. They could have saved themselves a trip if they had bothered to do a Google search. It turns out the hotel they thought was vacant is actually thriving and booked solid. Oops!
One of the visitors was a Customs and Border Patrol agent and another had a badge that said “DHS” (Department of Homeland Security), Swagler said.
Judging from their questions, it seemed they were doing a security analysis of the building, he added.
An occupancy analysis might have been more helpful, given that the hotel is currently fully booked and will be for much of the summer, according to Swagler.
What’s more, a Google search would have revealed that the facility – previously a Holiday Inn that notoriously hosted an “Entice the Falls” swingers convention in 2009 – now offers an upscale range of amenities that still might not be appropriate for children.
“We feature tastefully appointed guest rooms with balconies overlooking the river, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, plus a sauna and whirlpool,” the hotel’s website says. “Take in a round of golf at the adjacent River Oaks Golf Course. Enjoy a delicious meal in Currents Restaurant overlooking the river and unwind over a cocktail in our comfortable lounge.” (Read More)
The hotel is the Byblos Niagara, and it looks really nice. I’ll bet they could squeeze a lot of illegal immigrants into the yacht docked on the river.
In related news, Vice President Joe Biden traveled south of the border to once and for all dispel any myths about the administration’s immigration policy. Unfortunately, he might have made matters worse.
Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to Guatemala on Friday was intended to help calm a surge of children migrating illegally into the U.S., but his message was decidedly mixed when he hinted that some would be allowed to stay.
After a meeting with Central American leaders, Biden noted that “we do intend, and everyone agreed, it is necessary to put them back in the hands of a parent in the country from which they came.”
But later in his statement, he left the door open to allowing at least some to stay in the U.S. when he said:
“We’re sending immigration judges, attorneys to represent these young people and families with young people, and asylum officers. They have a right under our law to make the case — make the case that we’re here because we’re avoiding persecution. We’re avoiding something will physically affect our safety.” (Read More)

After the Feds run out of space in military bases, jails, and vacant buildings, they will be ‘first’ asking residents to take in these immigrants… then it will be ‘mandatory’ to provide living space if you have spare bedrooms in your house.
This sounds far fetched but how else will they accommodate thousands of amnesty immigrants? The thing that pisses me off is that the Fed has more concern and compassion for Latino illegal aliens than they do their own USA homeless citizens.
Maybe we could eat them; Soylent Green anyone?
